I have the Cabelas Ice Team 360TC (thermal cap). It will easily fit 2-3 ppl. Easy to set up/take down. If it's not real cold out, it heats easily with my little buddy heater. It has windows all the way around which is great, and they can all be closed if u r spearing. I've used it about 7 times and love it. It's on sale now, check Cabelas page, read some reviews (all 5 stars!).

+2 on the Eskimo.  My brother in law has one, not sure of the model, but it is fully insulated and has plenty of room.  The base is really wide (compared to my old clam hub).  We use it for a portable spear shack and it works out great.

Pretty cheap too if I remember right.

I have a couple quickfish 3s and they do work very well. But I wanted a bigger one to fish 2 people and all the gear more comfortably. I also like that these are insulated and the black interior in case a person wanted to spear out of it. Some good sale prices on these right now to. I ordered this one on line for 249 + tax and free shipping. Should be here today or tomorrow. Thanks for the replies

Do you think the 949i would be big enough to fish 2 adults and 2 small kids?  Probably only have 4 holes drilled for the 4 of us.

I have a 8x8' Hub, fishes 4 people very easy, just drill a hole in each corner, line up along the walls, leaves a lot of room in middle for gear

I'm with Grumpster... Right now as small kids, yes, it would be big enough. BUT, you may want to give the 6120i a long look. They will only get bigger lol. You won't be disappointed with more room, I promise you that. That is why I upgraded to the 6120i last year. I even fish it with only 2 guys some days, and its awesome for this too. Its a horse a piece setting up with the 949i. IF I only ever fished 2 or 3 guys, I'd still have a 949i it was a great shack. But, the 6120i is just more versatile and its great for 2 guys all the way up to the 4 or 5 I've fished from it regularly. Hope this helps!

I appreciate the info.  My buddy and I both have young kids that will be coming out with us now that they are getting a little older and we both have 2nd kids on the way.  It will be a couple years before we both have 2 kids fishing with us but I'll stick to the larger house so that there is room to grow.

Stuck between the 949i and the quickfish 3i. There would only be two of us fishing in it so trying to decide if I would need the 949i.

Being that they are both insulated, you'll be very happy with either.. BUT, speaking solely from personal experience if you are between sizes go with the larger one. You will never be upset you have more room... I had a 949i and honestly loved it for 2-3 guys. Now I normally take 3-4 people out when I use the hub so I went up to a 6120i and its perfect.

Cabelas has the Cabelas Ice Team XL2000 thermal on sale for $258.  There is a TC version that only has a thermal cap (roof) but the XL2000 is full thermal.  They were out of these in-store so they gave me a Clam XL 4000T for $279 instead.  Clam makes Cabelas' fish houses so it's pretty much the same thing.  The Clam house is 6" bigger on each side though. I think the Eskimo 949i was $369 there.

A brand I had never heard of until recently is Polar Bird. They are fully insulated, metal hubs and fiberglass poles. They even have an insulated floor that you can put in. Look pretty slick. Something else to check out. Lots of nice storage netting as well. That is one thing some of the other lack.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
