One of a kind Christmas present!

My wife decided to do something special for me for Christmas this year. She knows I like all of the well known spearing paintings, and some of them are pretty spendy. So instead of spending the money to get one of those she decide to paint me one of my own. I think it turned out great, and wanted to show it off. Let me know what you think. I couldn't ask for a better present.

If you look close at the last painting in that series, you will see the cans are in his box with the fish. You can even see the tine marks in the cans from spearing them off the bottom.

Ya, I was just saying it was nice that she didn't put that in her picture! I'm sure most people that see these paintings don't know that and just think Spear fisherman are slobs? wink

Sham, She came up with the idea, but she wanted input from me on what I wanted it to look like. So I helped pick out the shape of the fish, the type of weeds, and the decoy is based off of my Whittier decoy. She also allowed me to give input while she was painting to help get all of the colors just right.

Now I just need to look into getting it professionally framed so it can last me the rest of my life.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone. I figured you all would be able to appreciate it.
