Wild 2014/2015 Regular Season

What a frustrating game to watch. Everything seemed just a tick off last night. I don't know how many times I heard "pass just out of reach" last night. Or "whiffed on the shot". Alot of good pressure, you could tell the wild were the better team, they just couldn't put the puck away. Too bad they let a game like that get away when it was almost a for sure 2 points. A couple of tough games here the next week, I'm looking forward to Nashville on Thursday. Although I was really hoping they would have won last night and went into Nashville hot, I'm really curious to see how they play the top team in the league this year.

Fun to watch the young guys too. Schroeder and Dumba played well and brought alot of energy last night.

Shroeder is really showing he has a place on this team. Really like his effort. One time Vanek intentionally iced the puck knowing Shroeder could beat it out and he did then set up a scoring chance.

Haula had a better game, one of his better ones in a while.

Parise one of his poorer games IMO. He still works his butt of but those two penalties killed them. I know the one was certainly not intentional, but that hurt them bad at that point in the game. He couldn't get much going on offense either. That's OK, he hasn't had many off games. An off game for him is far better than many guy's off games that is for sure.

The Oilers looked much better than they had the last time they played, but still, you cant lose that game. That will haunt us in the end.

Pretty much came to post this. Should be an interesting game against Nashville, time to see what we are made of after a loss like that.

I don't mind this, seems like a good depth guy who works his tail off and has some playoff history.

Exactly Bear...good depth guy they will need for the run...bound to have some injuries here and there...just wonder who will sit cuz I am sure he will get right in the lineup to see what he can do for the team...only as good as your weakest link...maybe Brodz sits?

I would think Veilliux would sit before anyone else. Bergenheim is a wing as is Veilliux.

I don't know too much about this guy, but what I have seen is he is good for depth for sure. He has some size to him which is nice too. I hope this doesn't mean Shroeder is sent down. He has been real fun to watch out there.

CM...that would make more sense...forgot about Veilliux...that would be the best change.

And I agree on Schroeder....IMO he should have been up sooner...gets better the more he plays...fits the system better than who he replaced...plays hard both ways and is a scoring threat every time he's on the ice.

My guess would also be Veilliux. Schoeder is obviously an asset until we play a physical team. I would think Schoeder Haula and Brodz on 4th line could be fun to watch.
I don't think there are many 4th lines that could match that speed. Definitely not as physical, but man, you have to catch the guys to hit them! :-)

You guys hear Kane may be done for the year? I am a big glad as a Wild fan because he kills us in big games, but that sucks. I never like seeing key players have extended injuries like that. I wont apologize if we meet up against the Hawks and beat them without him, but still not good to see stars out of anyones lineup.

Winnipeg picks up Tlusty from Canes...pretty much the same size and and stats as Bergenheim and Jets gave up same thing we gave to Fl for Bergenheim...wonder if these are rentals or permanents? It is heating up on the trade front as deadline nears which can change things for those trying to slip in or trying to bolster for a Cup...love this time of year!

Gordie Roberts has been working out ? Lefty shot, fought Al Secord on behalf of Dino Ciccerelli way back ? Might be a tough trade etc. Teams know what we need so they'll demand plenty to let a decent talent go to us, might cost us a key guy.

I'd much rather get Steve Payne than Gordie Roberts. Payner could tussle a bit too and can score. He probably had to help out Bobby Smith a few times. Put Payner and Al McAdam with Granlund and the kid wouldn't get abused out there.

Is he still in the league? the guys gotta be dam near 40.

I've heard only good things about Bergy. FLA guys seem [PoorWordUsage] he's gone. That's always a good sign grin

Nashville is making a cup run. If they make it good for them, as long as they aren't the ones who knock us out! Once again, I'm unable to watch any of the games apart from highlights from websites. They play very little hockey on TV in Asia.

From running a couple numbers, we can go 13-9-0 in our last 22 games and have 95pts which should be enough. That's Achievable for this team.

Home ice advantage is sure important. The Preds have only lost 3 times in reg on home ice thus far. That is amazing!

I discovered the reason for the Wild losing to the Oilers on Tuesday. My 8 year old son had a friend of his give him a little Oilers keychain type doll. He showed it to me before the game, I didn't think anything of it, but now I realize it was a curse. There will be a sanctimonious sacrifice of that doll tonight before the game to get the team back on a roll.

This will be a tough one.

Agree with you guys, Veilliux will ride the pine for a while. I don't see Schroeder touching the 4th lines as long as he keeps playing like he has. Fontaine maybe but he's been playing good too. Even with Zucker out we still have sold depth, Carter should be back soon too which might make Brodz tradable.

Just waiting for us to pickup Dman.

I love the fact that on this forum we are always trying to trade guys that no one wants. I have to think we are stuck with Brodziak. Gonna be stuck with Koivu too. It all sounds good but.... who would want them! Maybe put Brodziak on waivers and use that money to sign a dman? Teams want picks and prospects, not washed up over paid players.

Someone else might be looking for a depth 3rd or 4th liner, Brodz is what he is, not good but you could do worse. Nothing wrong with Koivu latey,no doubt he had a terrible start but he's not hurting us one bit now.
