While the Gophers and Utah Utes are fighting over the 2 and 3 star recruits from South Dakota

nice knock on HS athletes from SD....stay classy bigdave. For the record there arent any players from SD that play for the Gophers or the Utes. There are some that play for Nebraska, IOWA, ISU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, NDSU etc....

We might as well not do the college play off next year since according to bigdave the #1 recruiting class determines the National Champ.....

C'mon Dave Clowney made one big hit against Michigan and everybody including ESPN blew it up and made it a big deal. If you knew football you would realize that Clowney doesn't want to play football he just wants to get paid and lead the lifestyle like a lot of these players today. And for the record I am not a huge Gopher football fan just a football fan based on my experience - Major college football for 4 years and pro football for 4 years. It's nice to be a football fan for a specific college and live vicariously through the team I guess but I find it kind of pathetic. Just my opinion. I watch football for the love and beauty of the game and would be just as happy watching a high school game as a college or football game. If you need to roll tide by all means do it.

I still have a few friends in the industry and they say never has there ever been such great athletes but poor football players in college. These kids don't have a grasp of the game and get by on their skill set until they get to the pros where they're absolutely lost and their athletic ability is matched by every player out there. End result is the game is too quick for them, they have to think instead of being instinctual and they flounder. The high school and college coaches teaching the spread offense is doing nothing for these kids. It pads statistics because of the isolation aspect of the scheme but teaches them nothing about understanding the game.

It's the consumed sad life of some Bama and Bison fans....
