Thanks so much, fellas. I have to tell ya, the more I think about this turkey season the more I am just buzzing with excitement and joy. Hard to believe I'd be this excited about a bird, but I sure am. Being a dad is so dang great...

DrJ, I keep on hearing that and I'm doing my best to do exactly what you're suggesting with both my son and my daughter.

DonBo,

I can't wait til next year. They gave me a little trouble in several of my normal Idaho haunts! I was able to watch 6 tip over this spring.

Beyond that Oregon tom I finally did whack a skinny beat up 3 yr old on the second to last day of our Idaho season (May 24). That encounter ought have been an easy double but my son in law whiffed on a 25 yard shot!

Enjoy your summer.

WD

That's funny Wally, we seem to be suffering the same affliction even from hundreds of miles away.

I'm already pretty excited for next year as well. Found a great new hot spot here in the metro that has never had a turkey hunter on it. Pretty sweet. Watched 5 go down this spring, two with the bow. We're having a perfect spring (so far) for this years hatch, so things are looking bright for the near future.

Congrats on your first place finish!

Fish on!

Congrats to team 2! (Unofficially until 6/10/14) wink

Things are looking good here so far to next spring. It's been wet but warm here and we saw lots of jakes on our properties this spring as well.
