schmitty3
Incidental or not he took out 2 guys without the puck in front of the net. Cooke was in position to break that up had he not got bowled over. Not trying to blame the refs, but that seems like obvious interference to me. Either way there's no way it should have gone to ot in the first place.

Bryce
No talk of the phantom hook? I think the league would have impacted the game again had not the Wild given the game away on their own.
bbfenatic
Ice time, Brodz 19:59 - Haula 9:45. Yoe should be charged with treason! +1 getting the right players on the ice, over-playing crappy players, not telling players to be more aggressive when they pulled goalie.... Yeo is absolutely gutless and is not willing to take risks even when the reward is stealing a win on the road. Hopefully the players can overcome his poor decisions and pull this out...they are certainly capable.
PierBridge
So...because Yeo may or hopefully may have not yelled at his players who have played hockey since they were 5 years old, to be more aggressive with the goalie pulled... hes gutless? Based on that along with other observations I'm taking you out of the equation to be the next wild coach. Hmmmmm...

Bear55
Yoe's fine, bb last nights game is not on him. You can't fumble the puck and give up 2 goals in the 3rd of a very winnable game on the road. Yoe could learn a thing or two from Roy about taking risks, but my only major issues is with his love of Brodz this season. He is keeping Heatley on the bench so there must be some brain cells up there.
PierBridge
So when Yeo switches brodz and haula will u be happy. I think he ll do it but not sure what effect it will have on things.

BartmanMN
Little confused. Russo reported that Haula was practicing with Cooke and Nino and Brodzy went to 4th line, then he tweeted that there are no changes in the lines. We'll see I guess. OnAFly
Per Russo: Erik Haula centering Matt Cooke and Nino Niederreiter. Brodziak to fourth line with Veilleux and McCormick. #mnwild Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaaand Bartman beat me to it

I agree for the most part Bear...but he could have told everyone to "push forward", put more pressure on their D and go get an empty netter to ice the game. Instead Pominville looked like a scared Squirt on that shot from the D instead of going out aggressively for the steal or block and others were just poke checking all over the place and that's on the coach IMO. Brodz is awful like we have been saying all year....hopefully that 4th line plays sparingly and I hope the Captains can rally the troops, man it would be great to get one in CO. PierBridge
And that wasnt incidental contact on the winning goal that was a blatant deliberate cross check. Like Bear said you arnt getting that call in OT. Not sure it mattered either.
bbfenatic
Stay with Bryz or give the kid a shot and see if he can regain his hot streak? When Keumper is hot the kid is tough to score on but.....
PierBridge
Not sure if he's "the kid" healthy? I would expect Briz in game 2 for sure. But if he flashes back to his Philly days in game 2 then yeah go Kemp in 3 and 4.
CaptainMusky
Yeo doesn't turn the puck over, clear a rebound, etc. These players have played enough hockey to not make mental mistakes. That is what cost the game. Winning that game would have set the tone for the series. Game two will be interesting. Will they food the tent or dominate play like they did in game one? I like moving haula to the third line. That should help put more pressure on their first line especially the speedsters since brodz cannot skate with them.. YiGGiN4SLoBS
OK, I'm all for it. Switch Haula and Brodziak. How can our defensive specialist be -3 in a game we had in the bag. -3 and he scored a goal!!!! Thats pathetic! And hes supposidly in there for defense. Im sick of watching Brodziak. That turnover for the 3rd avs goal was INEXPLICABLE! It was like he just feathered a pass to the on-rushing Avs player on-purpose. At least Yeo is finally getting sick of him too, sounds like Haula is gonna be on the 3rd line tomorrow and Brodz on the 4th. About time!
YiGGiN4SLoBS
WELCOME TO MINNESOTA SPORTS!!!! Couldn't agree with you more Buck.... Thats what our teams do here in MN. We find a way to LOSE! No matter how much it looks like we are gonna win- we just find a way to LOSELets all just embrace the LOSING!
Bryce
Anyone heard a decent explanation as to why the faceoff was in the nuetral zone after Johnson dislodged the net on the Haula shot? Also note that Cooke skated back to the bench with no helmet. Parise took how many punches to the back of the head and it offsets? Intent to injure ring a bell? Wild hace their work cut out for them. All I have heard is because the D men (Spurgeon and Suter) entered the zone in the scrum, but that shouldn't matter as long as they don't cross the dots which they didn't. Refs seemed to have messed that one up.
harvey lee
Boy the first half of period one we looked very good, then the balance of the 1st we stunk it up . If this continues we wil b down. 2.
