traveler
I have not a thing to say about some Cleveland 2nd string QB...I just couldn't resist being the 1,000th post on the subject:)
hnd
Sure, but did you stand to make Millions of dollars doing something where your career may only last 10 years? no but i also wasn't born into dump loads of money and he's gonna make millions regardless of whether he goes to the club or not. hell, he can knock out a woman, beat up strippers, and allegedly rape and still stand to make millions. as long as he doesn't smoke the ganja though. FISHINGURU
What a slicer!! What a dicer!!Hopefully he can learn to take snaps under center and when he runs not to lead with his head. He'll take a pounding and get concussions doing that all game.
fishersofmen
The kid has star written all over him. He is fearless and full of confidence and it shows.

If not by the opener 2nd game for sure Jonny Football will be starting $$$
CaptainMusky
"On a pass thrown by QB Johnny Manziel to WR Anthony Armstrong, Haden ripped the ball away from Armstrong for an interception. ""It was QB Johnny Manziel's turn to run the first-team offense again on Tuesday, but QB Brian Hoyer out-performed him with the second-team offense." DrJuice1980
So is landing the starting QB job in "Cleveland" the apex of his career? So all you JM jock sniffers are going to be all like "look, hes a starter in the NFL, he is legit man!" As in legit on a 3-13 squad? You guys are sorry, the kid isn't going to be good just watch. He's put 3 points on the board in preseason.
Big Dave2
To prove my point he will only have to be better than Bridgewater. Looks like that's not going to be hard.

CaptainMusky
And what's that point? The way you have sniffed his jock we would believe he was the next coming of Christ he better be far better than Bridgewater, luck, manning or Brady otherwise what's all the hype? The way you have sniffed his jock we would believe he was the next coming of Christ he better be far better than Bridgewater, luck, manning or Brady otherwise what's all the hype? There was no hype. There was only me being right again and telling you who the best QB pick in the draft would have been for the Vikings. Oh and there was also YOU being wrong. zepman
^^^LOL^^^I'm glad you all have this QB draft class pegged after their 1st pre-season game. You just can't make this stuff up....
FISHINGURU
It is pretty funny, I can't wait to see how it all turns out. More then likely the best QB in this draft wasn't even talked about. As far as comparing this is what I see so far.Takes off running....Foosball Scans the field.....TeddyMost rookie QB's feel more comfortable taking off running then scanning the field, I'm glad to see Teddy going through his progressions, there was one play where I wish he had ran but he kept rolling out looking for an open guy instead. CaptainMusky
Right, JM ran for a nominal gain in the Browns first game when he had a wide open receiver right in front of him. He has displayed very typical rookie QB characteristics for sure.
PierBridge
Sounds like there is some overreaction here on both sides of the Manziel debate#...
CaptainMusky
For all the talk big Dave had leading to the draft JM better throw for 4000 yard run for 900 and take the browns to the Superbowl. Just "being a better QB than teddy" would be a tremendous disappointment.

Just "being a better QB than teddy" would be a tremendous disappointment. The tremendous disappointment will be Teddy Bridgewater. You can try to spin this any way you want to but the truth is, this has always been about which QB the Vikings should select in the draft. Looks like they made the wrong choice again. Two words: Darrin Nelson.
corncob
The best thing that could happen for Manziel and Bridgewater is for them both to be backups this season.....Ready to start or not, a time for learning is never wrong, and often needed,
PurpleFloyd
The best thing that can happen to both of them is to have the teams put good talent around them and let them play right away. Teddy has the advantage in that respect with the skill players the Vikings have put on the team. He is playing with APRudolphPattersonJenningsand others. If he is any good at all he will look the part from day 1.
CaptainMusky
Bigdave Darrin nelson wasn't a QB.To say this whole thing started as who the vikes should draft is a stretch because there was a chance he wouldn't even be still on the board.Your "can't miss" "franchise qb" rhetoric about JM should propel him to a hall of fame career. He was so prepared by playing in the toughest conference in football that he should be inked as the started and for the next 10 years and build a new trophy case.If that isn't what you meant then why all the hype? Does he have some telling photos on you or something?
FISHINGURU
Darrin Nelson? What does a RB from 2-3 decades ago have to do with Teddy?I got my waders, it's starting to get deep now.
