GOPHER FOOTBALL BABY!!!

I thought they played much better than the score turned out. I agree that some of the coaching decisions were really head-scratching.

They are SOOOO young yet...I know everyone's been saying that for awhile now but the fact is...they are.

3 sophomores and 1 freshman along the o-line alone...both q-backs are only second year kids. It's hard to compete in the Big10 with that lack of experience.

I thought Leidner looked pretty good today...wish the coaches had let him went for a few of those 4th down plays when they decided to kick field goals. What do they have to lose...?????

They only looked good in a few spurts in the 1st half. A team that doesn't have a defense that pitches shut outs NEEDS a 2 minute offense!!! Didn't they waste the last 2 minutes of the 1st half against iowa last week also? This was NOT a good michigan team! I agree there is alot of upside on these young guys. But what good is it if the coach that recruits them can't even be there on game day?

I hope Kill can get his health figured out and see what he can do in two years. It would be another disaster to blow up the program again. A lot of freshman and sophomores on the field for the gophers.

Offense looked a lot better with Leidner than with Nelson vs. Iowa. I'd like to see the kick returner at wr more often. Not much talent at rb or wr.

I caught a fair amount of the game and while it turned out like most michigan/minnesota games does I was'nt expecting a mn win anyway and yah this is a very average at best michigan team. With that said I like the way Leidner moves around and the options he brings, he threw better than I thought he could too.

We at this point don't have alot of talent in the rb or wr positions as mentioned above and in all fairness this team is very young overall so I think there can be a upside down the line with this team if they can fill some holes. The cupboards were awfully bare when this staff took over.

We have been playing musical coaches for years here with the same results

so unless they can magically get a top tier coach to actually come here we might just as well let this staff work with this young team and see where it goes.

I never understood why they let Mason go when he was here other than he rubbed alot of people the wrong way.

You have to feel for those "glass half empty guys", what a way to go through life!!! It is not unrealistic to think that the Gophers could get one more win and be bowl eligible.

2 Big 10 wins is a "glass half full" outlook? crazy

But narcissism and pessimism do in many of these posts!

Good Luck!

Ken

Go Gophs... Go Coach Kill

Now it's narcissistic to be pessimistic about a team that has never won anything in the 34 years I have lived in this state? That seems a little narcissistic on your part....... grin
