knoppers
I have been thinking of ordering from them, any good or bad things I should know about? also, if you do get delivery, do you tip the truck driver like a pizza delivery?
efgh
We never tip the driver, maybe we should, never thought about it. The dark red cherry ice cream they have is darn good.
skee0025
Here's what you need to know. Most of their products are bland and over priced. On the rare occassion you do find something good for a decent price they usually discontinue it. Anything they have to offer is available at your local grocer for alot less. minnesotathorn
once you start it's nearly impossible to get rid of them.
JeremyCampbell
Yeah,I am a regular customer and they can be annoying coming at 9pm but I enjoy there summer sausage and motserella sticks
Walleyehooker
They have some good things and their ice cream stuff is good but their prices have gotten crazy probably because of the price of fuel. I apparently don't buy enough anymore so the guy that comes by me doesn't even stop unless I see him and flag him down which is better than him stoping all the time and buging me anyway. You can buy as good of products at the store or clubs for a lot less money.
MuleShack
You can order online and have the driver just drop it off. Then tell him that you will be ordering on line and not to stop unless he has a delivery.Fortunately for us, the schwans guy stops at my wifes work, so she just gets stuff once in a while and we dont get bugged at home.Their ice cream is the best, but I can buy that at our local grocery store too. It is somewhat expensive, but better than others out there for flavor and contents.
luckydog25
You don't have to tip the driver, these guys are making a heck of alot more money than the pizza delivery guy. Their stuff is pretty spendy, but alot of it is very good. We order their pizza's and ice cream on a regular basis. We also buy thier stuffed chicken breasts and perogies from time to time, they cost more than at the grocery store but are way better. As far as them stopping, you can have them stop every 2 weeks or once a month. If you don't want them stopping late then tell them.

Mike89
egg rolls are good, they have good stuff, but a little spendy as was said. they stop at a friends so they don't bother us.
ThunderLund78
If you have kids, it's not a bad service. Good quick oven-ready stuff. Chicken strips are tasty and Spicy chicken breasts on a toasted, buttered bun and some swiss are better than any fast food option . The driver is friendly and my kids look forward to seeing him. We buy individual ice cream treats in the summer when he shows up-kinda like the ice cream man. Their frozen veggies are MUCH better than the grocery store IMO. The Asparagus is top-notch but seasonal. Some of their stuff is spendy, other stuff is pretty economical.
Leaky
Golden nugget bars are the best. +1 I have a guy who stops at my place in Mora every other Friday around 5:00. He's a great guy just out trying to make a living, so I usually spend a few bucks with him each stop. Especially if I'm out of Gold Nugget Bars. Could I buys Kemps similar product for cheaper? Sure. But it ain't as tasty and I don't feel as good as I do when I buy it from "my guy". I've ordered mostly convenience items for when I get get up for a weekend and don't feel like fixing up something on Friday night. Pot pies, indiviual size lasagnas, breaded pork cutlets, ect. Pot Stickers are a nice side dish. Daughter loves the individual carmel rolls. About a buck a piece and nuked for a minute, almost as good as the local bakery. She also loves the french toast sticks. I enjoy spending Saturdays cooking and baking from scratch up there, especially during the winter. But there are times I'll trade ease for money as long as it tastes good. If I doctor up their frozen burger patties, they are quite good out on the grill and not out of line with burger prices right now. Most of what I've had from them is good, but wouldn't want to eat it every day.
