For a good thriller, you can't beat The Shining. No ice fishing but plenty of winter and reminds me of a day like today. Better yet, read the book, which is even better.

30 Days of Night. (Horror movie) pretty good flick.

Stalingrad (if this doesnt make you feel the cold, nothing will)
