zepman
Could be a huge game for the Vikes if they catch the Bears on another "off" night like they had on Monday. I'm not betting on it.I think the Vikes will split with Chicago this year but don't like their chances at Soldier Field.Bears win 24-

By catching them on an "off" night you mean playing another team with a back-up QB?
Slabasaurus
By catching them on an "off" night you mean playing another team with a back-up QB? I am assuming zep meant the D...I just cannot accept any statement that in any way makes Cutler appear to be an actual NFL QB. I find it hard to believe you would like him any more than I don't.The guy makes ROMO look stoic... and honestly, I think if the bears look like they did monday, and the vikes look like they did against san fran, they might have a shot. zepman
I don't think the Bears are really that good of a team...just don't think they'll beat them in Chicago though. Another back-up QB doesn't bother me at all.. take em how you're dealt em. It really just evens the playing field...we've been playing with a back-up all year long! Eric Wettschreck
I'm thinking that after the paddling C-bears just took, the Vikes better strap their helmets on tight. The Bears are going to try and make a statement.Having said that, I think their defense is good, but the team as a whole isn't as good as their record. If the Vikes show up to play they have a shot. Bears win this one. 24-
YiGGiN4SLoBS
The Bears need their defense to score for them to be an effective team, thats pretty clear at this point. If the vikes dont turn the ball over, (peanut tillman punching the ball away from AP or Ponder being stupid) they should be in pretty good shape.Bears offensive line is pure dumpster juice... double team Marshall every single play, especially if cutler plays, and we should be able to keep them from scoring more then 14-17 pts. on offense. Its their defense and special teams im worried about
otterman91105
I also don't think the bears are as good as there record but with the lose they just had i think they are going to hurt the vikings this weekend. Hopefully we can beat them at home.
MuleShack
Defense or no Defense by the bears...It seems they have a very hard time scoring.I'm not on the vikings band wagon this year, but I believe they may win this one by 3. LMITOUT
Sounds like Cutler is in and Harvin is out.
nofishfisherman
The vikings are capable of winning the game but I just don't see it happening. The overall trend the last month or more has been poor offensive execution. Put that up against a pretty good Bears D playing at home and coming off a game where they got embarrassed, that all leads toward a very tough time for the Vikings. The only way the Vikings win is by a dominant defensive performance but I'm not sure if the D is capable of such a performance. I'm going with a Bears win 27-13. Vikings get 2 field goals in the first half and then a meaningless touchdown late in the 4th.
fishersofmen
I think Cutler is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. There are maybe a couple other qb's that can do what he does when he is on. Yea he has bad games but all gunslingers do. The guy is fearless and has incredible accuracy and power on the deep ball. Plus I happen to like his attitude that many can't stand. He is the complete opposite of Ponder who is timid and to this point has not shown much arm strength. I don't like our chances if Cutler plays. The Bears points have been down the last couple weeks against 2 solid teams but they put up over 50 a few weeks ago. Not sure when the last time is the Vikings did that.
Big Dave2
I think Cutler is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. I'm not sure if I would go that far but he's plenty good enough to beat the Vikings.

PurpleFloyd
I don't see where the Vikings are really any better this year than last. They had ages more things called their way this year that resulted In a few more wins but they are still vulnerable in the same areas this year as last and it still doesn't look like the coaches can put them at any advantage over the opposing coaches. KMR85
Ponder has made some terrible decisions, but when he gets hit on every drop back I wouldn't put all the blame on him. The Vikings' offensive line is terrible. I would put as much blame on the defensive line too. They can't get any pressure on Cutler and the Bears' offensive line is supposed to be bad. nofishfisherman
I'm also starting to realize how terrible Simpson is. Ponder hit him in the chest or hands several times and Simpson just can't bring them in. Ponder sure didn't impress me today but I'm not really sure what he's supposed to do when he's got at least 2 guys in his face every time he drops back. When he does make a throw the WR's aren't doing him any favors.

Not too far off with my prediction. I would have had the final score nailed except I didn't predict the blocked FG or the fake extra point that led to the 2 pt conversion. Bryce
Erin Henderson starting pretty much spells out how good this defense is going to be. #canttackle
fishersofmen
Cutler has a terrible o-line but still makes things happen. There are qb's who make the rest of the team better and there are those who need a pro bowl surrounding cast to accomplish anything at all, we have the latter. How about the pass thrown off the back of the offensive lineman or Wright jumping up and down in the corner of the endzone WIDE OPEN only to get the ball thrown to him late. All I'm saying is some players have the ability to get things done using what they have.

Stratosman
Yeah Ponder is proving every game more and more that he has alot to work on. He cannot throw a pass beyond 2 yards with any accuraccy. O line sucks and so do the recievers... oh well. I predict one more win, maybe two with Ponder as the starter. Afraid to step up in the pocket, would much rather flush out and throw the ball away. Can't say I blame him I guess with the crappy o line, but it seems to me he doesn't seem to have what it takes to make something out of nothing. Without Harvin we are way too one dimensional. YiGGiN4SLoBS
I tell you what, this team might have a better record then last season but I really dont see all that much improving. Same old story vs the bears. Its getting REALLY OLD losing to that team. Theyre really not even close to as good as we always make em look. I think Leslie has a soft spot in his heart for the bears.Im pretty much 99% certain at this point Ponder IS NOT the answer at QB. True, our recieving corps is terrible at best.. but ponder has happy feet, a lolly pop arm and he just doesnt seem like a leader. He's more like a pretty boy... Henderson and Brinkley are two of the worst starting linebackers in the league. There is no way they can be starters next year under any circumstance. Personally, im done with Rick Spielman. I hope hes gone after this season. Studwell and his scouting staff can go to. One could argue Leslie deserves another season, but im not sure. Especially if we get swept by the bears and packers AGAIN which it looks like we will.
