Not too many fish get as ugly and smelly as a big ol sheepie. I’ve seen a couple that big caught by others but this one was easily the biggest one I’ve caught. I seriously cannot imagine what the state record fish must have looked like in person.

W-I-W-F, that fish grip thing sure is handy and I really started using them on channel cats last year. They work great for landing and handling them. They lock, they are strong, and a nice little hole in the handle for weighing your fish. I bought mine online @ “The Fish Grip” HSOforum. They have all sorts of colors, but the yellow ones are formulated for bigger fish. They are approx $15 I think.
