Most Epic Catalog

Just received the Cabelas Limited Spring Edition catalog... I've never seen such an epic catalog... 1000+ pages... Hardcover bound... I'm amazed.. and scared to look through it thoroughly haha..

I got one a few years ago, and made a conscious effort to "slow down" as the amount of spend you need to have to get one is pretty staggering.

really? haha... guess i know how to better gauge my spending at cabelas now...

according to my Cabelas Club Card Visa yearly overview i only spent around $1k last year at cabelas..

no.. but i wouldn't be surprised if Nick Cage or Brendon Fraiser busted through my door because this book holds important information that'll solve the deepest questions known to man

I get "The Book" every year. I does look nice and I almost hate to toss it in the recycler every year. I do like that the whole store is in one book. I don't think they send it to me based on my spending at Cabelas as I only spent $64.00 in 2011. I do have two of thier credit cards and use them for both personal and business expenses. Maybe it's the amount spent on the credit cards. I think if you want one you could go on thier HSOforum and ask for one.

I can't bring myself to get rid of them. I still have them all including volume one 2002-2003. A while back I compared prices on items they have carried for years. I was kind of cool to see how things have changed through the years.

I wouldn't mind, but i get all thier other catalogs, plus the spring and fall issues usually come twice, just with different covers.

What is it they don't get about saving a tree?? If they think it's making me more likely to buy from them, they couldn't be more wrong.

They've done the hardcover catalog for years, it goes to their "best" customers based on how much you spend with them or how much you spend on their credit card. Once you get on the "best" list it takes a few years to move off it, even if your spending goes down. I hate to think how much it costs them to print and mail that book .......

Why don't they stop spending all that money on printing costs and just lower their prices. I wonder what their printing cost budget is, it's got to be huge.
