They fought a good fight, but between the monster fish and the brutal snow storm they were never heard from again.

Someone had to finish the story

In 2009 Mieky went to the Lake of The Woods, in which during a heavy snowstorm was using rattle reels because Mieky had a drinking problem which gave him the shakes disabling him from properly jigging. On those rattle reels Mieky and his crew caught some "monster croppies and perch".

Two short years and four posts later, Mieky past away speaking about what he loved most: Skiing at Powder Ridge, Varmints, MN Vikings & random fishing tales. He is survived by his frozen fillets of croppies and perch left in his freezer. R.I.P. Mieky 12/17/2011 9:46 pm
