you know this guy is a deer hunter

Little off the subject but, germane nontheless. I read somewhere that hunters should be "sensitive" to passersbys when hauling deer home and should consider covering the carcass with a tarp. Me and my bud thought we should fabricate a big red nose to attach to the face of next year's kill and haul it home that way.

I do feel really great when hauling my deer on the back of the truck up north but get an odd feeling when I'm driving in the city with it and stopped at a stop sign. I can only think some PETA type is behind me crying! shockedsmile

I cover mine with a tarp to keep the dust/dirt off the deer.

Love the pic!

4 years ago I had a 200+ pound 8 point buck strapped to the top of my tiny Toyota Tercel full-23483-14582-pb090328.jpg

I got many many honks and thumbs up on the way back to the Cities, didn't see a single person upset with me.

A few years ago, these 4 little ladies made a voyage with us. From the woods to an ATV, from the ATV to a pickup truck, from the PU to this fishing boat, from the fishing boat to another PU, then the PU got a ride on a ferry, then the trek back to MN. We got a few funny looks on the Ferry. full-27123-14600-100_4805.jpg

WHAT! Thats like ordering parts from China when you have them right next store! Those were some costly Does there! shocked

Very true. But it was a antlerless only early season hunt, so we knew we weren't going to be bringing back any monster bucks. It's all about the experience, right? And how often do you have a multiple square mile island to hunt with only your group and nobody else around?
