Scent lok or x-scent clothing do you believe in their claims?

it doesnt hurt... but mythbusters and field and stream definitively proved that it doesn't offer substantial improvement over non-scent-lok clothing.

Police dogs can find guys totally scent-locked in the same amount of time as guys that are super smelly

The technology works in theory, and I'd say it does work to keep scent in, but it's certainly not perfect. It's essentially no different than the chemical suits the military used to (and might still) use. If it can keep chemicals out, it can keep them in too, and scent is just a chemical.

I bought a set of Scent Lok this year and have been nothing but impressed. With that said I beleive it is only a tool in the scent process. I still take a no scent shower and wear scent washed clothing underneath. I have taken a buck and two does this year wearing the clothing. Every one was down wind of me within 20 yards at one point or another and did not have a clue.

Is it worth the money? IMO... yes. Is it foolproof... no. It is a great tool in a hunters arsenal, just one more thing you can do to disapear. Can't hurt.

I have a scent lok outfit and the jury is still out for me. I guess I don't see any huge difference from before I wore scent lok. I haven't been busted yet but I make sure to play the wind when I hunt I believe that will always be the ticket. I mostly bought a parka and bibs with scent lok because it was the best piece of clothing in other aspects as well. Included Gore-Tex and Thinsulate as far as some other features that I really liked. I believe when I bought it (after the season) it was actually priced less than the non-scent lok clothing.

Use it and like it. It is not fail proof. I have more deer bust my trail where I walk in than wind me from the stand. I am not as sold on the scent elimination aspect as I used to be. Too much scientific information saying that it just doesn't work as well as they claim. However, I already have it and I will only buy more after the season when its on clearance. Its probably more of a mental thing for me now. I am playing the wind a lot more than I used to after reading all the findings. I don't feel that like I would need it, or that it gives me some great advantage, but it might help just a little bit, and that is good enough for me.

Just bought a pair of scentlok pants Friday, not because I believe they make you scent free, but because they were over $100 off, originally marked at $179.99, got them for $74 at Gander in E.P., they still had a few pairs left, they are the vertigo pattern. Washed them in scent free and wore them out last night. If nothing else I can say that they are very comfortable, breatheable, and warm. I like em.
