Buck Down

Shot my first archery buck with my bow on Tuesday night in zone 339.

Tuesday night I was hunting on a farm by my house. At 7:15 pm two bucks came running across my stand. I did not have time to shoot because they ran right past. I had put a camera in the very spot that they had crossed so I knew that deer always turn around and come back the same way, so I waited. five minutes later this 8 pointer came out and presented me with an 18 yard shot. I took it and sent an arrow through both lungs. He ran off down the trail and I heard him crash. Meanwhile the 6 pointer just hung out in front of me at 10 yards wondering what just happened. fifteen minutes later he scampered off and I was able to get down.

I got out of the woods without looking for the deer to give him time. Got four guys together and we headed in. Went to the point of impact and found the arrow covered in bright red blood smile We followed the blood trail for 20 yards and there he was. Awesome!

When you go to post your response, there are several boxes right above your reply. Just click on the one with the blue arrow and add your photo right from the camera. Easy as that.

Just a note: when you click "add file" it takes a while to upload, be patient. Then hit "done adding files" and it's done.

We're waiting.... grin
