So, do you think this is the same bear or different bears? Big bear or small??? I think it is a big one but I dont have alot of experience in judging size.

That is a 55 gallon drum. Cleaned out in 4 days looks like one of the pics bear is almost as tall as the drum

Thats a good bear! He is half way up the second ring on the barrel which makes Him about 3 feet tall. Tell me when to stop shooting!!(57) What zone are you in? On Sept 1st I will come and sit and tell you exactly how big he is! Nice bear Kevin..LOL

I hope he starts coming in earlier or you will only have pics of him on the trail camera. Can you hit him if he does come in?

Well, I checked the bait site this morning and the drum was cleaned out. So in exzctly one week of baiting the bears have ate 1 1/2 55 gallon drums of food. Could this be just one bear??? I cant tell from the pics if I just have one big bear feeding here or if it is multiple bears. I moved the camera today also . It is now about twice as far from the bait than what are in these pictures. I have 175 pics but still cant tell.

Also , anyone have any tips on getting this bear to come in sooner.? He has been comming in between 8:20 and 9:30. Then comes in throughout the nite till about 4:30am

Kevin try using less bait and baiting earlier, this will make him think another bear is beating him to the goodies and he might show up earlier.

If MN bears are like Alberta bears, they all will square over 6'. That last one is a trophy for sure. specially in MN. Almost makes me want to get out the meat missles and whack one myself.

How often can you get in there to bait? If you can bait more often like everyday or every other day you could reduce the amount that you are putting out and start making a little racket when doing your baiting. Try baiting the same time at about 3:00pm or so each time and make a little noise like bang on the bait drum a bit. If you only put out enough where he stays a little hungry he may stay close by waiting for his next meal and will hear when you "ring" the dinner bell (banging) around on the bait drum. We had to do this on one late night bear but then we had to run him off a few times as he started coming in right around when we did to bait. He's on my buddies wall now!

wow now that is alot of bait! On weds I put out 2 5 gal pails. One of a frosting oat mix and one of Licorice, gummy worms and bears. I am heading up tomorrow to rebait. Then will be up next friday thru tuesday. putting out a little each night till I get my bear.

Well 2 days before opener the bait site shut down. No activity since then. Hunted 3 evenings and nothing. And nothing hit the bait all night long. Not sure why. Now thinking I should have had 3 bait sites to give me some options but the way it was getting hit I did not think it would be necessary. Even tried a honey burn.

I have had the most bear on 3 sites this yea than ever before, total of 12 possibly 15, an yad think i could tag out with 2, but no. its frustrating, but that the name of the game. theyve been to it before an they be back. Test of wills i know. going thru it myself right now. Boar
