PierBridge
Just a quick tibit on the un-named QB who we had, and only because he was Chili's guy, a guy who couldn't play on a high-school team and who's career is over once the Vikings release him. Entering the game in the 2nd 1/4 and passing for 323 yards... THREE_HUNDRED_TWENTY_THREE YARDS~
rundrave
how many touchdowns? (And the pick 6 doesnt count) Did seattle win? That was great clock management down the stretch....I bet if you ask Marshawn Lynch he was happy with Jacksons execution judged by what I saw..... james_walleye
How many points did he lead them to? I mean he gave away 7 on the into. Doesn't take a lot to impress you does it pier. If mediocrity is what your looking for then junkson.......wait he isn't your guy because we have never even seen mediocrity consistently from him. RiverFish
13/16 190yds TD 1 int 0 QB Rating 137.0 Not to bad considering he has nobody to throw to. Yeah but his QBR(much better gauge of QB performance) from ESPN was 24.7, which puts him as the 26th best QB in week 12. I'll pass on T-Junk. Ponder was ranked 13th for week 12.T-junks yearly QBR rating puts him at the 29th spot, just behind D. McNabb. But ahead of Tebow.
nofishfisherman
Why are we still talking about T-Jack. He's been in the league long enough now that we know exactly who he is and what he offers. He's an average Qb and thats about all. He's not the worst but he's far from the best. Every QB in the leauge is going to have a decent game here or there but when you use stats like 13/16 190yds with 1td as evidence of one of his best games then I think that just proves he's nothing special. Scott M
Wow, this thread makes me laugh. Pierbridge, I'm quoting Flip Saunders speaking to Paul Allen on his radio program: "I love you and everything, but you are not a personnel director." He's an average Qb and thats about all. He's not the worst but he's far from the best. He's not even close to being an average QB he is well below that. An average QBR rating on ESPN is 50, even with his great game last night(pierbridge), T-Junks QBR was 24.
SkunkedAgain
In all fairness, QBR is a relatively new model that ESPN thrust onto sports fans this season. It probably makes sense to blend QBR and QB rating to come up with a composite. Unfortunately, that still won't look that good for Tavaris. ...but we all know that it's not Tavaris' fault. He got "jerked around." From an August article/interview on the profootball HSOforum: Quote: Jackson isn’t the only one talking about an awkward past. “He has not been in a good situation,” Seahawks coach Pete Carroll told Silver regarding Jackson, who was installed as the starter even before he was able to practice with the team. “He’s been jerked around. We wanted to put him in a stable situation.” And, in so doing, the Seahawks jerked Charlie Whitehurst around. Added G.M. John Schneider of Jackson: “He’s 28 years old, and quite frankly was [expletive] on for four years.”
james_walleye
Someone erase this thread. Everyone knows what kind of qb junkson is. This has gotten pointless, lol, pier showing up every 5 weeks when junkson has a "good" game and throws for 190.
RiverFish
Nice post Skunked, I agree, the QBR is new, but I think it gives a more complete read on how a QB performs in a game. A more stable situation, really Carroll? Well, maybe it is

Not that i'm backing T Jack at all, but that total QBR is a load of chit. T Jack's QBR was that low, but really he couldn't of done much better. He made every throw last night, and played really good. But according to the QBR he played awful?
RiverFish
The QBR gives a better idea of how the QB did compared to the QB rating. Its not just how he throws it also includes when and where the QB throws the ball. It also include penalties, fumbles, running, sacks...etc....It's not just about throwing.

PierBridge
Another solid start/performance out of T-Jack! But Ponder is much better... On a side note.... T-Jack was voted Team Captain by the Seatle players!
