Neighbor_guy
But the waiting is definately the hardest part. I dont think he was talking about food though.... If this works I will share the entire recipe. Until then all you get is the box as it looked on friday.... I checked today... Still there.... All I will get to see for the next 6 days is the box. Taped shut to keep everything on the inside on the inside and everything on the outside on the out. I wonder what it could be??????

thirdeye
Hmmmmm. A food mystery, with clues....Well, first off a refrigerator is needed. The container is sealed, it looks nonreactive, and it has been getting turned. The time frame is 7 days or so.I'm guessing you are either corning a hunk-o-beef, curing some bacon, or maybe Buckboarding a loin for Canadian bacon. Neighbor_guy
Pastrami? McGurk got it, although "Corned beef" was a good guess.Venison Pastrami. Smoked yesterday and sliced/enjoyed today. All I will say is holly cow... Recipe to follow....
thirdeye
Well, it's not pastrami until it's smoked.... while it's still in the fridge it's cured meat. I'm guessing it's a salt base cure, and that's called corning.
