Not sure if your being sarcastic on Ramos or not but he is getting time in Washington. I'd much rather have Ramos backing up Mauer than Butera, but considering our bullpen situation, I'd rather have Capps in the late inning roll than Ramos backing up Mauer. There, I said it. Now don't tell anybody

No, he's hitting .500 last I heard. I hated to see him go but sometimes you have to fill a hole somewhere else.

I'll take the blame. If I or Nathan's perfomance in NY would not have riled Sled up he would not have thrown in his patented Cuddy cheap-shot which had nothing to do with the thread anyway. So I just pointed out, in responce, Delmon has one solid hit this year, one bloop and one dribler to 3rd. What can I say, when I pitch a purple cracker ringworm Sled's way he bites every-time...catch and release is fun..LOL

Not to worried about him but it is a little puzzling why he's kind of struggled so far considering how hard he hit the ball this spring. He'll still have big year hopefully. Some of the other guys that didn't get as much spring work like Mauer, Cuddy are really showing there rust and the importance of spring training.

Your take on acquiring a starting pitcher last year and Capps are Rock Solid! Still glad we have Caps for now and it looks like Ramos is off to hot start for the Nats!

I was suprised about Nathan's outing in NY to say the least, but I wasnt assuming he'd fail..but I have to say the probability was likley.. It still is one game, though.

They already have a scheduled day game for tomorrow. No double header as both teams need to travel for a Friday game.

Just to shed some light on what I said about Capps from last year, so some of you don't get confused on my stance on Capps:

Capps is arbitration eligible next year and the Twins essentially traded Ramos and Vesta for 1.5 seasons of Capps. Unfortunately part of his inflated perceived value includes his likely price-tag in arbitration, which is sure to rise from this year's (2010) $3.5 million salary to over $5 million (and perhaps well over $5 million) [he is making over $7 mil this year] thanks to those same shiny-looking save totals he had in Pitt. Next season the Twins will pay a premium for a quality setup man they perceive as something more because of a reliance on a flawed statistic and they gave up a good catching prospect for the right do that.

Seems like Nathan is having more blown games than saves.... and when he does get a save he barely gets them with runners on base. I don't have a lot of confidence in the "post surgery" Nathan.... but who is gonna replace him? Capps?

They haven't been into the second round in almost 10 years. Winning the Central (one of the weakest divisions in MLB) isn't an accomplishment anymore. They keep putting teams like this on the field and that stadium will be half empty EVERY gameday. I lived in Kansas City and St Joseph Missouri for 7 yrs, I have seen it with my own two eyes.

I'd like to see Anthony Slama come up to the bullpen if we are going to be adding anybody anytime soon... Or Nathan miraculously goes on the DL (fingers crossed)
