2 more off Bo Diddleys' "The Black Gladiator" album ... it was that good.

Released in 1970.

The old fans hated it, younger folk never gave it a chance.

To me, one of the really great albums of that era.

I'd wager Lenny Kravitz has spent some time listening to this album.

Gordies theme song was for sure funny and creative, but i will go with Erics all the way. i remember being overseas during the Viet Nam conflict and there i had a picture taken of me smokin a joint and a Jimmy Hendricks picture next to me. a lot of things have changed for me but i still love hard rock. good luck.

that was one of the better tunes by Rush. i watch Nugent's hunting show's when they are on. one thing about Ted Nugent though, i dont think he has ever taken any drugs or booze. i always thought that was amazing, could be one of Ripley's believe it or not. not one PBR grin. good luck.

Another voice about to be silenced......reports that Levon Helm is in the last stages of throat cancer. Think of the irony of a man with that voice with throat cancer. These clips are from The Last Waltz which is always worth a viewing or listen. It is available on Netflix.

It is my favorite concert movie, Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Neil Young, Bob Dylan and many, many others. Pretty tasty guitar by Mr Roberson also.

While remembering Levon, I'll give a nod to Rick Danko.

He passed in 1999.

So raw and soulful I'd buy him a drink and ask if he wanted to talk.

This ain't easy ... takes courage to sing from the heart like this.

I'd say, at a minimum, he's homesick in Japan.

He's feeling something.
