Superduty
Sounds like a good time. Is the date set in stone? I hope to be fishin the river by mid April. Of course with all this snow, that could be questionable.
leech~~
Do you know if Thorne Bros does any Fly Fishing clinics? There's a young lady on the Womans forum looking for one.
polarsusd81
Leech, they do have several fly-fishing clinics/seminars through out the year. And stopping into the shop and having a chat with Scott Struif will get you all the answers you could ever want about fly fishing. If you let him, he will talk your ear off. bemidjibasser
I stopped in to Thorne Bro's. this e weekend... They managed to get me for just under $75 of goodies... Musky selection is top notch for sure! Bass selection was modest at best in my opinion. The guys in the shop were very helpful too.

Wayne Ek
RK & Deitz, I thought there would be a little more interest on this than I've seen. Just for giggles... is there a certain subject that someone would like to see covered. And how many people are thinking of coming.
Deitz Dittrich
Still two months left for this. I would be willing to bet people do not have "the fever" yet.. as we get closer I would be willing to bet there is more chatter on this.
mojoputter
Oh we are definetly waiting for open water and this warm weather is causing that fever to rise, but were still trying to get a few more weekends of ice fishing in. April 16th is on the calendar.

bucketmouth64
This would be a great event to come to. I'll have to add this to my calendar. Maybe a topic would be tactics fishing deep, or finness fishing.

thatoneguy
I'd like to learn about how to assess a "new" lake/river - one you haven't fished before - to efficiently find fish. I want to explore some new lakes this summer, but with limited time to fish, I need to learn as much as I can about how to find "fishy" looking spots! RK
What time does it start? Hey BK8 - We haven't set the official agenda yet, but it's kind of shaping up to be a mid-morning to late afternoon affair I think. We're going to firm up details here fairly soon (as soon as I get on the stick, to be honest) so be watching here for details. We'll post them as soon as they're available.Welcome to HSO, by the way...Cheers,Rob Kimm

I want to explore some new lakes this summer, but with limited time to fish, I need to learn as much as I can about how to find "fishy" looking spots! Fishing new water/prefishing strategies is something that we've kind of pointed out as a real good topic for the roundtable discussion. I think we'll get into it for sure in that forum if nothing else. Cheers,Rob Kimm

I want to explore some new lakes this summer, but with limited time to fish, I need to learn as much as I can about how to find "fishy" looking spots! I agree. I think this would be a helpful topic for everyone. That along with a discussion on what types of presentations to use in different situations. I know this topic is very subjective and depends on a lot of variables, but having a basic idea when to use a drop shot vs crankbait vs jig, etc. would be helpful.I will definitely try to be there. Looking forward to it. Bring on the soft water!!
Slob_Samurai
I would be really interested in drop shotting, and deep water tactics. I know the big girls are out deep mid summer when my shallow techniques fail.

I know the big girls are out deep mid summer when my shallow techniques fail. +1 on the drop shot and deep water tactics...I want to try the drop shot this year I started fishing a couple of tourneys last summer, and the successful anglers almost all fished drop shot extensively...from early June through late fall
