jeffreyd
Watching the game tonight it sure looks like ol'e Brett should be hanging out at the local tavern. He reminds me an old grizzeled man who drinks a boilmaker for breakfast.
vman11
What about sexting 24 yr old hotties? He looks like he's pretty good at that.
FISHINGURU
Bretts a character, for all you haters I feel bad for you when he comes back working for the NFL and you have to see him every week lol.
gregg52
you could only hope you have the ba11's that guy has no matter who he texted them to and good for him if he chasing hotties keeps him young....loljust a real red blooded american boy (with no quit in him )you could see he still loves the game it appeared to me he was excited when they scored and to smile when joe web(future qb for the vikes i hope) was runnin and scoring
bucketmouth64
It will be interesting what happens with last game of season. I am confident it will be his last nfl game. If it were me I would start Favre and take him out of game before first snap to give cudos to him and give him the game ball. All about respect for the guy. Vikes need to see Webb for a complete second game to make a good assessment with his future and for the team.
TR21HP
In full agreement with you on that one. Albeit one game, Webb showed a touch and a calm demeanor during the game, something I haven't seen from the others that have been around for a few years. Give Favre the accolades he deserves and let Webb demonstrate what he can do.
reinhard1
last year farve was a hero and this year [by some] he's all washed up and a failure. this guy will come down in history as one of if not the greatest quarterbacks that ever played. i hear the nfl will fine farve for the off the field texting or unprofetional conduct. this will be a matter for farve and his wife more than anything else. good luck. Shack
No matter which way you add it up: This, that, or the other thing, the Vikings just really have nothing going for them. Webb ain't NO pistol and IMO is just another T-Jack waiting in the wings. The seasons over. I agree with the guy who talked about starting from the top and working down, instead of working from the bottom or coming at the situation from the side. We started with Chilly, let's finish the job! You can not tell me Chilly was the only reason things are not perfect at Winter Park. I honestly vote for getting rid of T-Jackson. Bring in the next guy all those haters will whine about and let this animosity for T-Jack fad. Start a new era and let this one go to the books. gregg52
hmmmm i dont agree with you there shack t jack aint going to cut thats for sure he should be history but i do think this kid could maybe be somebody like stated above give brett some do sun then get joe in there see if he can repeat or look similiar to last night i dont know who else is around to get but i hope they dont go get another vetern that only has a yr or 2 left bud grant said now you build a team you buy one (sacariticly) that didnt work chilly tried thatand is now sittin on his butt with 6 mil...waste of moneyhuh ?? and probably gave the good draft choices to NE to get moss so lets keep this guy and build a team around him even if you cant get to the super next yr
jeffreyd
I guess my thought on the whole discussion was simply that he cracks me up when ever i see him not playing like last night that he is not the flashy person as many nfl players are. there is no question about the drive and the hard working person that he is. i could care less what he does with his phone and computer, as long as you are a true stand up type person everyone does things that we regret. It just made me laugh when i saw him on the sidelines last night that he had the dip in his lip and the grin on his face with the beard that is rough and looks like he just stepped out of the bar. that is all
gregg52
ya he looks like a down home boy for sure but personaly i'll take that over ear rings and pretty boys...lol or shootin myself in the leg....lol
flipper
Instead of starting the game I think it would be more appropriate to play him at the end and see if he can stage one last comeback. Of course if his concussion is still a factor he would have to stay out.
harvey lee
Favre looked like Favre last night. Heck he was even smiling on the sidelines and cheering the team.I would like to see Webb QB next season. The kid does not look to bad and in time he could be our future.I would hate to see the Queens go after a veteran and have him here for 2-3 years and then start all ovwer.Lets build a team for the future and give them some time. bucketmouth64
Webb did show more poise than T-Jack has in a few years, that says something about Webb's demeanor. He was shaky at the start then settled down and let the game come to him. If vikes would have kept Sage we would be set going into next season if vikes are convinced with Webb.We need lots of help in other areas and need draft picks. I think there might be lots of wheeling/dealing come draft time. It all starts with what Wilf's decide on a coach and maybe a GM. Wilf's should see what works as far as a front office hierarchy or maybe get some suggestions from successful owners. What we have doesn't work. zepman
I think you're exactly right Bucketmouth. Had this team kept Rosenfels, we would be sitting pretty good at q-back for next year. We'd also be able to build our o-line and secondary through the draft.
FISHINGURU
I can agree with that, trading Sage was stupid. He would of been a solid starter for us. People that would want to keep Junkson over Sage don't belong in the NFL.
flipper
I am not a big Favre fan but I hope he sits out this last game for his own sake. He is a sitting duck out there and he definitely doesn't need to lose any more brain cells. Seriously he doesn't need to get banged up any more just for our entertainment. Scott K
I think Favre should look into assistant coaching/offensive coordinator, and someday possibly head coach. Since he cant stay away from the game, or the media.
gregg52
would be a good deal for him but he just doesnt seem like the coaching type to memight be an idea to keep him to mentor web
bucketmouth64
When he was in Green Bay didn't he say he wasn't going to be a mentor to Rodgers, or something like that? If anything as far as coaching maybe a qb coach, or maybe he could open up a qb school and teach these young qb's how to read a defense. Then again, I don't see him being a teacher type of person, just not his demeanor. Peyton Manning could do good at this.
solbes
I don't see coaching in Favre's career at all. But something where he can garner the spotlight like broadcasting, post game analysis, interaction with the female sideline reporters, etc. Okay, low blow on that last one.He really should just spend a year mending relations with the fam and getting out to hunt and fish. I'll be Glad and Sad to see him leave. There's always either a love or hate thing with #4. Nothing in between. Good luck to you fella. Steve Foss
I also don't see him as the coaching type, but I think it's going to be very hard for him to stay away from the game. I'd be interested to see him in a TV broadcast booth. When he's not doing his "aw shucks" routine for the media, he's a pretty well spoken guy. Well, let's be honest. If you're a former standout NFL player, you don't need to be very well spoken to put on a network TV color commentator's sportcoat or to spout off on Inside the NFL.
