Burnham
i never implied that not being a vikings fan means that you have no rights to comment on a public sports issue related to them. what i am saying, is when all you are doing is bashing every aspect of minnesota sports and minnesota that don't even pertain to the topic being discussed it is evident that you are commenting just to try to stir people up. i mean, if you have nothing better to do, than go for it. i dont see why someone would waste their time on a thread just trying to irritate people by bashing their state. Gordie
The saddest thing about this is the vikings collapsed way before the dome did

Burnham
i dont know about you.. but i don't wear a skirt, i will be the first to say that MN sports aren't good and things dont look too good in the future. You still haven't acknowledged the fact that you bash topics not related to the thread, which shows that you are just trying to downgrade MN in any way you can. I would much rather listen to KFAN from 12-3, in fact my church brought up the "tough love" segment and has been mentioned on the show a few times. I'm not one to sugarcoat stuff, just dont see the point in constantly trying to downgrade everything about our state, which isn't as bad as you try to make it out to be. PierBridge
Quote:I'm pretty sure if a home team is unable to play in their stadium (as will probably be the case for the bears game), they are reimbursed in some way by the NFL. The NFL doesn't reimburse the Vikings the team does recoup it's loss's from the incident via Insurance tho!

BRULEDRIFTER
Unbelievable the effort and big money going into getting: A) the stupid dome patched/replaced and clearing and getting TCF ready for the game on Monday. Shack
There is a load of news steaming up since our blimp burst the other day. Supposed to be some big news from LA coming out now in the next week. For now chew on this one lol!: Quote: Zygi Wilf Moving Minnesota Vikings to Los AngelesDecember 8, 2010 WRITTEN BY TEREZ OWENS ON DECEMBER 8, 2010 Come on Zygi bring them here already! Zygi Wilf flew to Los Angeles in his private Vikings plane to meet with Magic Johnson. According to sources, the two secretly met at Van Nuys Airport just outside of Los Angeles to discuss the possibility of moving the Vikings to Los Angeles..Magic and AEG have made their plans public to bring football to Southern California..The NFL won’t allow expansion at this point, so Magic will have to bring a team from another market in order to make it happen..Coincidentally, Magic also keeps his private plane at the same airport the Vikings plane was spotted. Thanks to our sources at Hip Hollywood for the heads up. -TO Supposed to be Zygi's plan parked in LA last week above^^^^^ I am sure you guys know Majic has been put in place to get the Vikings to LA. Quote: Magic Johnson, AEG want L.A. in the NFL game By Vincent Bonsignore, Staff Writer Posted: 12/01/2010 05:46:26 PM PST Updated: 12/02/2010 09:16:51 PM PST As for Magic, a role in AEG's efforts is a possibility, but it's yet to be determined. What we do know is L.A. is a place the Chargers could end up sometime in the near future. And who knows, they might eventually be joined by a second team in L.A. AEG and Ed Roski Jr. - who is pushing his own stadium plan in the City of Industry - have both been told by the NFL to be prepared to facilitate two teams, a setup currently used in East Rutherford, N.J., the home of the New York Giants and Jets. Lester Bagley, a Minnesota Vikings official, confirmed earlier this week the Vikings have been approached by AEG and Roski about the possibility of the team moving to L.A. Much like the Chargers, the Vikings are trying to secure a new stadium to replace the outdated Metrodome, a fight that has spanned two decades and three ownership groups. With the Vikings' lease with the Metrodome up after the 2011 season - and unless Minnesota politicians put a new stadium plan in place early next year - the Vikings have little choice but to also look for a new home. Sources close to the situation say conversations between the Vikings and the two L.A. stadium groups have taken place within the past month. By creating a strong buzz in L.A., maybe it will motivate Minnesota to come together on a new Vikings stadium. The Vikings accepting overtures from Roski and AEG is not just a coy attempt to light a fire under the you-know-whats of Minnesota government. We're a serious player again with the NFL,and a handful of teams are taking a serious look at L.A. as a new home. Remember no worries here folks! Nothing could or would never happen like the Vikings moving.

Shack
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN LOL! Stick your head back in the sand like the rest FG. It honestly has worked years past. Personally I do not care and I am almost hoping a move is had. The more you look into it, we need better things for our state than a stupid stadium or this so called professional NFL team we have. I give up and better off the entire state does also. So yes Yawnnn twice and once for me FG and lets seriously stick our heads into the sand. The Vikings are a huge joke and a jokes do not get you a new stadium. Then again according to you guys who have, IMO nothing at all to back this, there is nothing to worry about. We are majestically going to come together anyways next year and save everything at the last minute. No worries like I said.
Shack
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWN Oh Yeah, that is right. Lookoing back I see You were one of the backers in the plan/theory of Zygi and the NFL begging to re-sign another DOA (MOA) Dome contract when we (our state) calls their bluff. No new stadium needed and the Vikings will play the next 10 years at the DOA Field/Dome. Got Ya!

No clue what your talkin about but what does that have to do with me yawning over your stories about the Vikings moving to LA? I could give 2 hoots about what Magic says or thinks about it. New lease at the dome or new stadium the Vikings aren't going anywhere. The fanbase is to large and football is a tradition here, NFL teams have already been a failure in LA a couple times now. Born2Fish
LA Dons in 1946, LA Rams in 1995, LA Chargers in 1960, The LA Raiders in 1994. They all failed in that great LA market.
