Bring on the snow

Out in the garage tonite and decided to uncover the sled. All nice and clean, no little pests in or on. Looked it over and then said what the heck. 4th pull fired right up. Now to wait.

No kidding. Got back from shooting ducks in NoDak the past two weekends, beautiful weather, now just deer hunting and waiting for some diver ducks to come down, but already my thoughts are turning to sleds and ice fishing Keep up the cold and moisture! Started the sleds about 3 weeks ago just to smell them, ha!

Got up this am and saw white ground. TV said 1to 3.5 up here. But we know that wont last long.

It's not Minnesota ...... YET ......... but it is a couple day old photo from Northern Colorado, my Dad and a few others are out Elk / Mule Deer hunting about 40 miles from where these photos were taken.

Hopefully it won't be long!

I dont now the first thing about sleds, but the guy down the street had his out this morning. They are diehard sled heads however, so it didnt surprise me. It was probably his highschool kid. They just made a half dozen laps around the house.

We had a good 6" on the ground in Lakeville this morning. I took a short 4 mile ride down a local ditch. Snow was way too wet so it wasn't that great but man in was nice to be out and riding again.

Went down to Mankato area and rode all day yesterday while it was snowing! Think there was close to 12" it looked like. Melting fast. Man that feels good to get the new sled out and break it in.......

I believe it was from Buffalo Pass ( close enough to RE ), lots of that snow settled because they got a warm stretch after that storm but it should make a great base.

The crew is getting together soon to come up with a plan, Colorado is in the bulls eye this year, probably Glenwood Springs / Carbondale / Aspen / Snowmass and Walden will be the destinations, we will see how the planning goes AND the snow reports.
