Ran into a friendly grouse today:

Portrait:

Most of the maple color is gone.

Once exception - fireworks starburst:

Lots of yellow around - "faal's gold:

Birch on birch:

All shot with a 7D and 100-400mm.

Ohhhhhh, I really like that first one. Great pose, perfect eye, and you could'nt find a better perch. That needs to be hung on the wall.
