What's the best fish/depth locator under $200?

I'm looking for a fish/depth finder for under $200. Ive been looking at The Hummingbird 560 and 570. I have a Eagle Ultra III plus that has been playing games with me: working and then not recognizing the transducer once I'm on the lake. I guess that's way my late father-in-law had it mounted on a shelf in his den. I was using the unit as a portable finder and I'm looking to replace it.

Anyway, anybody got any recommendations?

I've got an eagle 320 that had started to give me fits. I did a total recalibration ----check the on-line manual on how to do it--on my unit and it has been trouble free since then. Give it a try you may save yourself some $$$$

Thanks, dairyman, I have the manual for this old Ultra III. It's the same one I've seen on Retreevo but I don't see where it mentions calibration or recalibration.

I also had an Eagle that was going out doing the same thing, tried the recalibration to no avail and finally broke down and got the hummingbird you're looking at for $200 and love it!!!

For a low end graph that Bird would serve you well.

if you dig a little bit into eCove or whatever that auction site is called you might be able to upgrade. I got a 700 series bird for 180, brand new. just something to think about.

Eagle Fisheasy 350c. Wayyyy better quality graphics. Never had a problem with mine and I used it hard for 4 years. Pretty much exact same graphics as lowrance(color, hi-def).

Buy a Hummingbird. I have talked to guides and employees from Cabelas that own other brands that wish they had Hummingbirds. I have a 550 and a 788ci and they are very easy to operate.

Go to --Eaglenav.com and find your model --access the operators manual and go to the "reset" option
