Nate McVey
Favre IS NOT coming back, looks like he just can't take the punishment anymore............ Looks like the Vikings will be 4-12, finish behind the Lions and end up moving to LA where they belong. Let the Favre bashing begin
mrklean
haha well i dont want them to move to LA i think that would kill the state of MN but it is kinda funny how they put so much into im without knowing anything in return
Cooter
Third times the charm? Do we thank the Saints for this? Let the purple tears start to fall!
harvey lee
Many things can happen before game 1. Ziggy could offer more cash to sweeten the pot and Brett's ankle could get better in the next 6 weeks.Brett is the best game player ever and if he feels in time he can do it, The Vikes know Brett could take the Vikes a long ways. Brett also knows the Vikes are close to going to the SB if he is the QB.If I were to make a bet, I would say he is done.

harvey lee
In the Vikes press conference today, Childress did not confirm that Farve is done.Hold on boys and girls.Watch out you Cheeseheads as it may come back to haunt you again.
Cooter
You'll still have an impressive team even if he does retire. I really thought last year the queens had a good shot at winning it all. This year I say less of a chance even if he does play. If he does come back he ought to be ashamed for all the drama.
zepman
Until the man holds a press conference this is all media driven...again. The media may just want to take everyone for a "ride" again this year. Ratings=$$$$.

we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted August 3, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted August 3, 2010 Favre IS NOT coming back, looks like he just can't take the punishment anymore............Typical cheesehead sucking up all the media slops into the trough for them The media are the true drama queens here. They will do anyhting to get a rise. I'll believe it when I hear Favre or Childress announce it. Childress is not aware of it and has been texting Favre today even. CJH
I think its too early for celebration or weeping by either side. Until the first game is in the record books without him, I don't believe a word he says. Once a liar, always a liar.

CJH
Now we know why they drafted Gearhart in the 2nd round. Can you say 80-20% run-pass????
Scott K
Can you say 9 in the box!!!!! That just means there will be more break out runs from our great rb's!
Rippinlip
I am asking for Favre to retire, please. Not that I did not really like the Vikes going as far as they did or where they may go with him.I am asking as a person Brett to think about your future with your family and your love of the outdoors. Do you really want to use crutches or worse yet a wheelchair to do the things with your family?? Please WALK away when you still can.I believe Robert Smith for the vikings said or wrote a book "Walk away early or limp away late." Brett you are already limping. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted August 3, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted August 3, 2010 Geez...you guys allow the drama queen media to make you into drama queens yourself. The Minnesota Vikings do not have a timetable for QB Brett Favre (ankle) to report to camp, reports NFL Network's Steve Mariucci. Favre said he is still waiting for his body to heal. He said his ankle is improving but not where it needs to be yet, which has affected his conditioning. Favre added that he has not retired and is still working toward coming back to play this season. Favre said he is also aware of the media frenzy that occurred after there were rumors that he had decided to retire, but he was not sure how all of it developed. Cooter
Favre said he is also aware of the media frenzy that occurred after there were rumors that he had decided to retire, but he was not sure how all of it developed. Ya sure. Just a big misunderstanding.

Do you really want to use crutches or worse yet a wheelchair to do the things with your family?? Please WALK away when you still can. Thats exactly it, thats the reason I'd understand for him wanting to retire forsure. He can barely walk right now, one more big hit could be the career ender and a serious injury that haunts him for the rest of him.BUT, he's a gamer and if he wants to go for another year I say LETS DO IT!! harvey lee
Only Brett knows what he can and cannot do. The decision he makes only he will have to live with.I am sure if Brett feels he can play bat 100%, he will be back and winning games for the Vikes. AAAAGGGGHHHH! THE VIKINGS ARE GOING ALL THE WAY! 16-0, FAVRE WILL BE REGULAR SEASON AND SUPER BOWL MVP WITH A 3TD PER GAME AVERAGE AND 6 INTS FOR THE YEAR I
harvey lee
That may be a bit of a stretch Da_chise31.I would like to see the Vikes win the SB but 16-0 is very questional. If Farve does come back our DL will need to do a much better job protecting Brett or he will be out after the NO game.
LABS4ME
If he retires, and changes his mind 3-4 games ino the season and comes back, his consecutive start record stays in tact. If he misses a couple games while still being on the roster, it ends injury or not...Something to think about...Ken
