Beetle spin (jig spinner variation), I have caught pannies-bass-pike-walleye with this lure on the same lake in the same day.

same here. I also had a musky hit mine about 10 feet from the boat. my poor 6lb mono didnt even have a chance. he just bit it and swam off with it. eek

PEATMOSS:

From the lakes of northern Canada, to the gulf of Mexico,

wherever fish are bitin' that's where we're gonna go.

There's a lot of excitin' country, just waiting to be explored,

So join us here in the great outdoor, world of Virgil Ward.

I guess this makes me a real fisherman!!

Hands down - the banjo minnow!!! laugh

JK - I know you said only one but I like beetle spins (with twister tail) and jigs/minnows. Like someone else said - if I had a beetle spin I could break it down and just use the bare jig if I wanted to. Good Luck! Paul

A jig is really always able to be fished. With a minnow. With Plastics. Under a bobber. Trolled. Vertical. Ect. Ect.

The original rapala is tough to beat too.

I pretty much always have a rod rigged with both of those.

Good Gawd.....,bout time someone shows a little love for Virgil Ward!!!

As a kid, I was simply enthralled with this show.

I had to watch virgils show every weekend, it was like saturday cartoons, not one week passed without catching the show. My best all around lure is a rebel crawdad. I keep several in my box and they have yet to let me down. There are not many freshwater species that I havent caught with those things
