New PB pike

Spent the weekend with friends fishing Rainy Lake. We nailed the eyes and also picked up some nice pike.

This one is the I have been looking for for some time.

Craig or Grizzy Adams caught this 36" pike.

I can't see the photo with this PC but going by the comment at the end of your post it says it measured 36"? A 36" northern might typically go 10-12, but 24lbs? It must be one extremely fat northern.

That's about what I'm looking for too! Large walleyes are great, but that 42"+ pike is what I'm really after. Nice Fish!

If you are in need of a big pike, check out Rainy Lake and Woody's resort.

Woody is reasonable and will get you pointed in the right direction.

I was up a few months ago late ice tip up fishing and averaged 36" pike with one going almost 20#'s.

Rainy has some great pike fishing and the eye fishing is also awesome.

Someday I'd love to head up to Rainy, LOTW, or the big V. Too many good waters in this state. Thanks for the tip.

My best fish have always come when I'm looking scruffy.

Coincidence? Maybe I'll stop shaving and see what happens

The girth on that thing was incredible. That pike is feeding on 20" plus eyes. We joked that if we would have kept it and filleted it we would probably pull a big eye out of it.

Don't let the gray whiskers fool ya he was like a kid catching his first fish when we got it in the boat. Truely an awesome experience and thank you for letting mel and I be a part of it.
