Vikings Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen has decided to part ways with his signature mullet in preparation for his upcoming wedding.

“The things men do for love,” Allen said.

No report as of yet on whether the six-year veteran’s new hairstyle will make him less wind-resistant coming off the edge in 2010.

Then again, Allen plays ten games in a dome next season.

Maybe I should be a gossip columninst......I had this story three weeks ago! Instead of CJ writing for the Tribune it should be CJAC?

He got it cut at a salon in Chanhassen about three weeks ago, my buddie's wife sat next to him. My buddy makes big coin, so I can assure you this wasn't a Great Clips in Chan.

Anyways, Jared told her he was getting it cut for the wedding and was joking about it. Jared was also talking to and playing with their son (5 yr old) who was with this wife at the salon. She said he was a very nice and funny guy, even without the mullet!

I heard the wedding excuse was just a cover up, and infact cutting off his mullet was part of the stipulation for brett favre to come back for another year.

I think you should say his would be wife is pretty hot, but he is still a superstar millionaire and she should shave her head (if he wanted her to) to be with him. I am sorry, but if I were an NFL, MLB, rock singer, movie star, etc. my woman would be hot and "I" would do what "I" wanted, including having whatever harido I wanted.
