Why not throw in someone like Kyle Gibson into the mix? We are not getting constent starts out of the starting rotation and this does not help the bullpen. Take a look at our bullpen:

Rauch: Going good so far

Guerrier: Steady

Mijares: Depends on how many Twinkies he ate and where his head is

Crain: Enough said

Duensing: Decent stretch guy

Mayhay: Haven't seen enough to decide, but can get beaten up

Burnett: Learning the trade

Manship: Needs to screw the head on right

Neshek: Should not be considered until next year

Swarzak: Needs to screw the head on right

There is a reason these guys are in the bullpen. Except for a couple of specialists, they are guys that are not good enough to be starters. It does seem like there have been more personality quirks come out this year. The best a management team can do is put these guys in situations where they have the best chance at being successful. Do you guys know how good Twins fans have it? As of 5-12, the Twins had the fourth best bullpen era in the majors at 2.72. They are only behind Detroit, NY Mets, and Colorado. Bet Windy City Walleye Hunter would love to have you guys running the team. Every time a guy makes a mistake, you'd get rid of him and replace him.

Well, as of 4/12 the bullpen had an ERA of 0.00... They weren't good then. It's 5/19 not 5/12, and as of today the bullpen has an ERA of 3.33, 8th in the majors. And with the quality of our bullpen staff it'll continue to go up. The bullpen's ERA jumped up over another half of a run in the last week... Not good. I sure hope this isn't a trend but with the Yankees coming to town next week it just might be... Fire Crain T-O-D-A-Y!

If you guys keep wanting to get rid of every player on the team, please suggest a better more viable candidate for his job. If you start looking around, you might figure out that these ARE the most viable solutions to these positions at this time.

You guys should follow another major league team besides the Twins for a while and you will see that the Twins have had a very solid bullpen for quite a few years and that all teams have a few weak links. No one is that strong at every single position, not even the Yankees.

I always love it when people want to treat everyone equally. Everyone does not deserve a chance. You work hard for your chance to make it to the majors and work harder to stay. If you can’t, you get cut and you get to go home... This isn't little league or the church softball team where everyone gets to play and there’s rainbows and sunshine everyday and no one keeps score. This is professional baseball. Every single team has the same goal every year and that's to be the world champions. I am pretty sure the Twins are not looking to be mediocre... And Jesse Crain, he’s not even mediocre. I also love how people think, “oh we have had one of the better bullpens over the past few years” so quit complaing. Operative words, “had” and “past”. If we are going to continue to dominate the division and make it deep into the playoffs, which last time I checked we haven’t over the past few years, we need a stronger bullpen. Oh and Big Dave, read my other comments. My name isn’t Gardenhire, Smith or Pohlad. I’m not saying who they should get in there but I trust they’ll get the right guys in there eventually. Likely via a trade. They didn’t spend the money they did this year to lose… I just hope they don’t wait too long before pulling the trigger.

Spot on again!

I love these panic post......it just shows how wide and great of a fanbase the Twins have!

Go Twins! and cut or trade anybody who is not producing as we sit here today!.... grin

I do believe that many want to see the players that do not preform well to go and simply give another a chance. The Twins are close to being a very good team but with a few changes, they could possibly go deeper in the play offs.

I get just as bummed out as anyone when a few select players seem to always choke .

Once again, you have missed the whole point.

I never said anything about treating anyone equally or rainbows or sunshine. Where did that come from?

What I said was, if there is not a better alternative then how can you cut someone? I'm certainly not a big fan of Jesse Crain but maybe.......just maybe......he is the best alternative the Twins have available AT THIS TIME. That's not to say that the Twins won't promote someone frome AAA to take his spot yet this season but maybe.......just maybe.......the coaches know something that you don't know and have decided that this replacement player is a month or 2 away from being ready. Maybe not, but it's a theory.

And for someone who says his name isn't Gardenhire and doesn't know the answers to the questions, you sure want to get rid of a lot of players on this team. And if you trust the powers that be to get the right players, why can't you trust that perhaps they have the best players available at every position?

And BTW, I still think the Twins have a decent bullpen because I have watched more teams than just the Twins and understand what a decent bullpen is.
