New Boat

TR21HP

Recommended Posts

Picked up my new boat last night from Frankies. I am now an official member of the bug brigade. Got a ZX200 Skeeter. If you were at the Sport Show it was there. Now have to get some break in time and see how it compares to the Triton. Downsized a little but it fits so much nicer in the garage.

Tonka,

Yes it was. I went through the process of looking at the FX20 and this one and the extra money for the FX just didn't make sense, although I really liked the FX20 especially with the SHO on the back.

Craigums,

I had to extend the garage when I had the 21 foot Triton to make it fit.

It's a 6'x12' bumpout and makes things a lot easier fitting in there.

Thanks for the compliments guys, A few more hours on the break in and we will see what she will do. Looking forward to getting out this weekend.

Nice rig.

We just built a house and added the third stall for my boat. Even with the swing tung it's like 2 feet short. My boat is only 17 feet so I'm wondering what's the point of a third stall on a typical residential home? One solution would be to park my Accord there and put the boat in a main stall, but we have to have a big SUV to pull the boat and they won't fit side by side. Looked at putting a blacktop collar around the side of the garage, but the city said no. Looks like she's getting parked on the driveway.

What do you guys with 20' bass boats do? Buy the boat first and then shop for a house with massive garage? One of my neighbors has his boat parked horizontally inside the garage and has all three cars parked outside...he's got his priorties in order wink

I have a 3 stall.. one large door and then the 3rd stall is a smaller one, and its actually about 2 feet shorter than the big stall.. My 20'4" Puma with a swing tongue sits semi crooked in the 3rd stall.. If I really go crazy and finagle, I can get the truck and car in the garage.. but for the most part the truck sits outside.. its a truck, its what trucks do!.. The boat and car fit just grand in the 3 stall... If I ever built a home on land I would build a huge long garage with door in each end.. leave the truck hooked to the boat drive in one out the other.. THAT WOULD BE SWEET!!!

That would be cool Deitz, just pull in one end and out the other. Buy a third car to drive around in the summer and leave the truck hooked up. You could build a drain system in the floor so you could wash both at the same time.

Funny how that third stall that was supposedly for the boat is overtaken by kids toys and bikes.
