Yeah I wish I knew how to post the article up that I read. He punch her in the face and everything. I use to think he was the best defensive player ever but none of that matters. He's garbage if found guilty but it sounds like its for sure.

FROM WASHINGTON POST:

Lawrence Taylor accused of rape

UPDATED (12:35 p.m.)...

Lawrence Taylor, the former New York Giants linebacker who is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, was arrested by Ramapo, N.Y., police for an alleged rape, according to multiple reports.

Taylor was taken into custody by police at a Holiday Inn hotel and was being held pending arraignment Thursday afternoon, the Journal News of New York's Lower Hudson Valley reported.

The Journal News reported that Taylor is being charged with third-degree rape, a charge involving intercourse with a minor.

According to the newspaper, the alleged victim in the case is a 15-year-old girl who apparently is a runaway from New York City. The girl was treated at a hospital following the incident, according to the Journal News.

"She was a runaway since March and there was a pimp involved," Christopher P. St. Lawrence, the supervisor of the town of Ramapo, told the Journal News. "She got punched in the face. We're not sure who did it."

An uncle of the girl contacted New York City police, according to the Journal News.

Taylor, 51, played for the Giants between the 1981 and 1993 seasons. He was selected to 10 Pro Bowls and was named the NFL's defensive player of the year in the 1981, '82 and '86 seasons. Taylor was named to the NFL's 75th anniversary team in 1994 and was enshrined in the Hall of Fame in 1999.

Police are scheduled to conduct a news conference Thursday afternoon, according to multiple reports.

The Associated Press reported that police did not immediately respond to questions by the AP about the circumstances surrounding the arrest and whether Taylor was represented by an attorney.

Taylor has had legal problems in the past, including multiple arrests on drug-related charges. But he reportedly has said his drug problems are behind him.

Taylor competed last year in ABC's televised dancing competition, "Dancing with the Stars."

Taylor's Struggles Off The Field

1986: Admits in public statement that he has received help for substance abuse ... enters six-week drug-rehab program in Houston, stays one week.

1988: Given 30-day four-game suspension for second violation of NFL's drug-abuse policy for cocaine use.

1989: Fails breath test when police find him asleep behind the wheel of his Jeep beside the Garden State Parkway in N.J. ... acquitted in Saddle Brook, N.J., of drunken driving charges ... tries to choke a reporter after a Giants practice.

1996: One of 15 arrested in Myrtle Beach, S.C., for allegedly trying to buy $100 worth of crack from undercover police while in town for a celebrity golf tourney. Charges dropped when LT agrees to 60 hours of public service.

1997: Pleaded guilty to filing false 1990 income-tax return and failing to report $48,000 income from the now-defunct LT Sports Club in East Rutherford, N.J.

1998: Arrested in his New Jersey home in a roundup of deadbeat parents. Released after about 10 hours in jail when a friend pays $6,000 in child support and for an outstanding traffic violation ... arrested again, this time in Florida, for allegedly buying $50 in crack from an undercover cop and for possessing drug paraphernalia.

2009: Arrested in Miami for leaving the scene of an accident.

2010: Arrested by Ramapo, N.Y., police, and accused of raping a minor at a hotel in Montebello.

I'm not a lawyer, juror, policeman or judge so I'm just gonna go ahead and assume he's guilty.

I was willing to forgive him for all the petty crimes before that and you put 16 year old, rape and pysyhical volence in the same sentence and he's just a thug. Maybe he should have been dealt with when he was caught the third or fourth time with prison time and none of this would have happen. Same people you just can't straighten out. I thought there's a three strike your out law?

Just sad... You have high profile athletes that do unthinkable, disgusting things like this POS who I used to really like as a player, and he ruins the reputation of every athlete out there. There truly are hard working, honest, respectable, down-to-earth athletes in all sports, but when do you hear about them? Yesterday ESPN reported that Albert Pujols (presumably during batting practice) hit a kid in the stands with a foul ball (a Phillies fan), and he rushed into the stands to check on the kid, gave him his personal cell phone number and told him "anything you need, you got it," and autographed some merchandise for him. The kid is now a Pujols fan for life from this one seemingly small act of kindness, but to me, that was a big act and a big story. Instead, it gets 30 seconds on the tube and we hear about LT's rape for 20 minutes. THAT is disgusting, too!

They should be able to vote LT, OJ, and probably several others out of the hall of fame. What a disgrace. scum

I will only say that we should wait until he is found guilty before we decide to hang him.

Many times these stories are true and just as many are false as someone is simply trying to make some money.

We know nothing to this point.

Sad but good news does not sell. I am sure that's why all the garbage takes center stage.

WHAT? crazy I cannot believe I just read this. mad

I dont get it? Whats not to believe? I'm not condoning it. You don't think a 15-16 can try/want to get jiggy w/it? Take a look at all the lady teachers making it with 14-15 yr old boys. I'm pretty sure they weren't being forced/tortured into it.

Still doesn't make it right. (again)

The law states that a 16 year old is not capable of consenting to sex...hence the reason it is illegal!

what if two 16 year olds do it? Are they consenting?

(again, not advocating for or defending LT)

I just think we all know what consensual sex is in a broader sense (aside from this case).

It depends on each state in Minnesota if your 16 you can have sex with anyone 16 and older if it's consensual.

Two 15 year olds -violation of state law.

Legal adult and 15 or less statutory rape even with consent.

I couldn't believe that you would even post something about this being a consentual situation, only then to acknowledge that a 15 year old cannot have consentual contact with an adult.

Holy cripes man, what in the HE double L are you thinking? Why even post something like that? Saracastic or not, it's just not right. madcrazy

Never heard of there being a legal age of consent law in MN in cases like you explained. At least nothing that states that a 16 y.o. is old enough to consent to sex with an adult age 18 or older.

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
