took out a Z8 yesterday with a 200 Pro XS on Prior for a few hours with Centralbassman. I was very impressed on the way it drove. Hole shot is amazing, and might be the fast hull i have ever road in. Filled livewells and it was the same. Hard turns and over ways, handled amazing.

One person, 20 gallons gas, 76 mph

Two persons, 20 Gallons gas, 74 mph

Three persons, 15 gallons gas, 68 mph

If you looking to a bass boat, im telling yall, you need to take it out for a test drive.

I've been looking at the Z-7 which is a 55-60 mph boat with an Opti 150 on the back. They can be had new this year for about $22k and have plenty of room to fish from both front and back. Fished out of one last year once and loved it.

i dont know how you are getting those speeds....Everyone on bbc with this same set up is not getting anywhere near this (65-68). I would be interested to see what the set up is and a picture of your gps speed. I guarantee a lot of guys over there would love to hear what you got going on. I'm not saying you are lying but there are way too many dealers inflating actual boat speeds.

Wow 76 mph with a 200 proxs, well first of all i believe that 2 exact same boats riged and loaded the same will run diferently. Now with that said what i'm hearing from a 200 proxs on a z8 is 67 mph- 70mph with a 25 pitch fury and maybe 1-2 mph more with a good setup running the 26 pitch fury but i hear that the 26 pitch fury seems to produce more topend speed but less of a hole shot than the 25 pitch. now 76 mph from a 200 on a z8 is well into what we are seeing with the 250 proxs (75-78mph)and some 225 proxs (72-75). these speeds are achieved through alot of pain staking time and effort of finding the right pitch prop for that particular owner and finding that sweet spot on his or hers jackplate and learning how your boat runs with a particulkar load and how the boat is loaded. Now this just my opinion but the numbers that were posted seemed to reaching further than the 200 proxs capabilities on a Z8. im in agreement with (larson 15) alot of people would be interested in seeing how you are getting them numbers. Heres a test done on BBC by Brandon.

Z-8 w 200 Pro Xs » 6:04 PM 4/1/2010 Reply Edit

Alright I have had my 2010 Z8 DC w/ 200 Pro XS for 6 weeks now, I have ran a 24p Fury, a 25p Fury and a 26p Fury. Me, 30 gallons of gas (why would you need more) tournament loaded and I mean loaded, by boat is nearly full, 67.1 w/ 24p, 70.2 w/ the 25p and 71.0 w/ 26p. If you pay $4000 to go 75-76, i'll arrive before you can get on the trolling motor and still have cash in the bank. All i've heard is speculation that this boat is under powed with this motor. With 30 gallons of gas, both live wells full of water (and fish) my 265 lb parter + his stuff and me 225 lbs its out of the hole in less that 5 second. And the boat is stable enough that we can both get on the front deck without the seat for stabilization and fish in 2' rollers with no problem whatsoever. If you haven't been in one PLEASE stop speculating. And this is not directed to anyone particular.
