Big Dave2
Now that Edwards is on "probation", if he does something like that again will they put him on "double secret probation"?
GatorBait
With out a doubt Harvey. They are sticking by their word, that it's in the drivers hands. I didn't expect it to be literally. I love the crashes, but my heart paused during this one. I didn't expect him to come out of that in good condition. It's bascially a free for all, as this incident has set precedent for future things to come. The only thing worse is the car going into the stands and/or someone dying as a result. There has to be a line somewhere before it happens at the big tracks. LMITOUT
Maybe the multi-car teams will hire a "hitman" who's only job is to take out opponents by crashing into them at any speed, any track, regardless of the consequences or possible threat of causing death, just like Edwards did. They'd be similar to the big gals on a roller derby team.
harvey lee
Yep, JJ is hard to beat. Now someone can hire a driver to take car of that.

Uncle Bill
NASCAR and Carl Edwards deserve a medal for bringing respect back to NASCAR.BK thought he could continue to antagonize the same drivers week after week, from one year to the next knowing NASCAR would step in like big brother and keep him from getting hurt. BK set this fight up along time ago and he may not have gotten what he expected, but he got what he deserved. There was a time when drivers had respect for one another knowing paybacks are a FemaleDog.Word to kesolowski.Butch up sally, Ya git as good as ya give. That seems to be a typicall response from a Rousch fan.I would be certain to say this is not all BK's fault.Seems ol Eddy has had issues with others before too. Maybe he is just a sore loser and a bully.
&JAG
Right on the money. I think the garage all ready has lost some respect for Cousin Carl. Harvick and Bowyer both said he should have gotten a bigger penalty. This will hurt the #99 in the long run... He will get little slack from those who thought he was out of line. Sifty
Just some thoughts....Now that NASCAR has told the boys to go ahead and lace up the gloves who will be the next driver that gets punted?By being so easy on a guy who wrecked a guy on purpose, and put him into a possition where he could have been hurt very bad or even killed (after all we have seen guys get bigger penalty's for having conduct unbecoming to NASCAR)I understand how some people feel he had it coming and I'm OK with that, I think that there is a place and time for everything and I don't beleive it was at 190 miles a hour. When Edwards said he did'nt mean to hit him that hard and send him airborn, dosen't it seem that if you turn someone at 190 theres a good chance that they are going airborn?NASCAR has gone from one extreme to the other, This is going to be a problem. I'm sure that Helton and France are just loving all this talk about what happen but if it were'nt for those two idiots things would'nt be as screwed up as they are right now.I beleive that if they let this go that there is going to be a bad big one at one of the Super Speedways this year now we have a couple of guys going at it and there are going to be a bunch of cars around them and it is going to be ugly.I'm not a fan of the 12 and also not a fan of the 99 so I hope I'm seeing this with clear glasses on. I personally think that both of these drivers will have to have there heads on a swivel because if I'm a driver out there and happen to have a incedent with either two of these knuckle heads you can bet your sweet [PoorWordUsage] I'm going to hit them before they are going to get me.I also thing it is a good thing we have two weeks before we go racin. There I said my peace and will get down off the soapbox.Sifty

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't know how anyone could have the idea that Keselowski was antagonizing Edwards. The wreck at Talledega last year was clearly Edward's fault as BK had a little bit of a run on him and Edward's attempted (unsuccessfully) to block him. dillrodd
I'm with big dave on this one. Last year 99 won"t give brad any room to pass and gets in a wreck. This year he drives over brads hood and complains that brad never gives him any room I laugh. I guess carl thinks brad can't race him just because he's the great Carl Edwards. Nascar is out of thier mind to just slap his wrist. I used to really like and respect Carl now I just think he's a spoiled little baby. Both times it happens on the bottom of the track, where is he supposed to go to get out his way anyway?

Sifty
it was the wing's fault ..lolif he woulda just spun no big dealnascar poll was 50/50 on punshiment I don't see how you can say if he just "spun no big deal".When they showed the first replay you can see his white gloves turning into the 12.On the second replay Hammond say's You can see he turned into him.My best guess is the 99 crew have bought some new gloves and there not white. There was a time when a young driver would repect the older drivers. I beleive that is gone because there is no one to take a kid out back and kick his [PoorWordUsage]. Its all about the money and NASCAR is getting what they want a bunch of people riled up and you can bet they will be smileing at the ratings from Bristol.Sifty

Rippinlip
Short track dumping will maybe be making a come back.Just wish they would not have changed the coating on Bristol, now there is 2 grooves there is less need to move someone out of your way... What does Nationwide have to do with this? My point is, From what I have seen and can remember, it looks like Keselowski has never done anything to Edwards to deserve deliberate retaliation. If I were BK the first thing I would do next week is put Edwards into the wall and if his crew gets his car back out onto the track I'd do it again!
