Bass Jigs

Almost always Strike King for me. Mainly BFJ38, PPJ12 and TDJ12.

And the new TGSJ516 this year. In dock talk that means I will be using the Bitsy Flip Jig in 1/2 and 3/8, Premier Pro-Model Jig in 1/2, Tour Grade Football Jig in 1/2 and the new Tour Grade Swim Jig in 5/16.

oh no! Looks like an owner deep throat to me! Nice jig! I also love the Skinny Bear which also has a deep throat, but comes with a mix of living rubber and silicone skirt... (but stay away from their soft plastic, my secret)

I love that hook, I rarely loose fish with these jigs, even when you have one of those not so good hooksets. Ohhh and you don't have to worry about me and there plastics, I pour my own, and tend to use those exclusively.

Those deep throat's are a great hook BUT, they are next to impossible to sharpen because they are so hard. IMOP, but what do I know.

The owners with the cutting edge are not made to be sharpened. If one gets dull, which takes a lot, you should just replace it... smile

I have a mix of jigs. I just orderd several Outkast RT jigs.

Everyone talks about the head design of a jig. That is good. For me, I prefer a big hook with the longest shank I can find. Picasso used to make a good jig but I can't find the same kind anymore so I started ordering the RT jigs. Plus, I bought a few hundred of their stick baits and Mike gave me a nice discount since I give him big orders during the holidays...They are one of the few places where I can order bags of 100.

I also like the jungle jigs. There are a lot of nice jigs out there.

Thats the rattles that are on them but they are not in the pic (one more thing to worry about being straight for the pic) As far as the grass jig style, I had a prototype out to my mold maker but he apperently decided to quit making molds and not answer emails anymore, so now I have to make anew prototype and find a new mold guy mad So for now I have resorted to a stock mold that uses the same hook.
