Dave S
Wow BLF,kind of poignant in your post. I wouldn't rule out any theory of the NFL games being fixed. If it happens in the NBA, it most certainly happens in the NFL. Especially on key games like the post season.
LMITOUT
The Saints had more penalty yards than the Vikings. Fixed? Laughable. I suppose the refs put that 12th man in the huddle too?If you review the game in slow motion you can also see the refs cause all the fumbles and interceptions too, but you really have to look close..... BlueLundFishrman
Don't tell me the ref's kicked the game winning FG in overtime too! Wait, maybe they moved the goalposts at the instant the kick was made, making it appear the FG was good, when it should have been wide left. Pierre Thomas didn't make that first down and had the game been here, they would have made the right call. Had they called a turnover on downs, the entire officiating crew wouldn't have made it out of the RaperDome alive.

zamboni
They sure did, and that makes it good, doesn't it? Reviews aren't always right, either. How many times did they replay it? At least 20, and that ball NEVER crossed the first down plane. Just because you are a Packers fan, or some other team, doesn't make it right, does it? LMITOUT
So blame the refs, not the ump-teen turnovers the Vikings had.... Unbelievable.Want some cheese and crackers to go along with that whhhhhine?
Dave S
Nobody's denying the fact the Vikes created some of their own misery. You can watch any game in the NFL and see more of the same. It just seems to be more prevalent in games that matter. Even though we had the fumbles or interceptions, we still outplayed the Saints by a long shot in that 4th quarter and if anything, the officiating crew was the 12th man on the field for the Saints. gofishingtom
ya bad calls happen but its over...green bay in the arizona game in ot had a huge bad call on the turnover that led to the cardinals touchdown the blitzing corner that caused the fumble grabbed Aaron rodgers facemask and pulled down well refs said it was coincedental contact..tought just touching faskmask was 5 yard penalty and grabbing it was a 15 yard penalty that could have changed that game also..so green bay has gotten over it vikings need to get over it they still cant win the BIG GAMES even with a green bay quarterback!!!!! greebs
agree that all viking fans need to get over this and move on. how many times have they accused the packer fans of being whiners. let's stop being hypocritical and just call it for what it is and that being the team blew the opportunity to win a game that they should have won. sure there were some calls that were questionable but they are a part of the game. the refs didn't blow this any more than peterson fumbling it, favre making his worst decision of the year at the most critical time he could have made that fatal mistake, the 12 men in the huddle penalty, the missed interception opportunities, or any of the other little things that could have changed the outcome. bottom line is they could of/should of won the game but they didn't and nothing we say or do is going to change that. The_Duckslayer
Amen! enuff already! Game fixed... refs decide winner... yeah sure you betcha! They paid Farve to throw interceptions, and Peterson to drop the ball too! I have a friend that told me that! They lost... get over it! Take care and N Joy the hunt././Jimbo
james_walleye
I agree, no one is stating that vikings turnovers and mistakes werent reason number one the vikings loss. But i thought it was pretty clear that Thomas lost control of the ball and the ball slid back and never came close to crossing the first down marker after regaining control. LMITOUT
Yeah, lets draw a yellow first down line across a picture that is at an angle and not perpendicular to the marker. Whoever made that video is a moron.

Born2Fish
I really think the booth messed up the last call horribly. It was not a catch period. He had no possession AND he trapped the ball. Not saying that would of changed the outcome of the game, but it sure couldn't of hurt. Refs call horrible games all the time. Its a fact of pro sports. Whether they determine the outcome of a game is debatable. The vikings still lost and there is nothing to do but look forward to next season. GO VIKES!!! we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted February 1, 2010 Author we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted February 1, 2010 It was just amazing how many things went right for the Saints in that final drive. Still reminds me of the WWE referees the NFL had for the Pittsburgh-Seattle Superbowl.
