These were all with the Canon 100-400L and the 1D Mark II. The birds were all taken around feeders while visiting family. The muskrat was actually following behind my wife and I while we were snowshoeing. Our path must have made for easier walking wink.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I have really appreciated all of the great work you all have been posting. Things have been pretty busy lately, limiting time to both post images and comment on all the wonderful things you've been doing. I still like to lurk and have enjoyed what I've been seeing.

The chickadee image is excellent, natural setting, over the shoulder look (always good imo) and a sweet bg. The star of this series has to be the muskrat, what a facial expression!,

and a great look at the front feet/claws that I have rarely seen.
