SkunkedAgain
Badger, didn't they have to win four championship games in order to get into the Super Bowl back in the 70s? Wouldn't that make them 4-5?

LMITOUT
Does it really matter what team it was when they lost 41-donut?How about "insert team here" if it makes you feel any better, but it's still 41-donut.

Jim916
My boss still has the sports section from 2000 with the 41-0 loss. He keeps as a reminder for us fans. He says he will burn it once we make the Superbowl. It might be a while. The paper is getting a little yellow and I keep telling him it is becoming a fire hazard! cbrooks
This is going to be reach but back in 87 we made the "Herchel trade". Giving the cowboys a destiny that got three Superbowls. I think the Vikes should be credited co-champions in those years, maybe.
SkunkedAgain
Uhh, thanks for the name calling Badger...classy. By the way, I'm a Packer fan but not one that makes up stats. Since you wanted to call me out, here are the stats you politely requested that I research to prove that you are only stating a half-truth. The Vikings are 4-5 in Championship games, here are the four wins:<> Jan. 4, 1970 - NFL Championship - Minnesota 27, Cleveland 7, advanced to Super Bowl IV<> Dec. 30, 1973 - NFC Championship - Minnesota 27, Dallas 10, advanced to Super Bowl VIII<> Dec. 29, 1974 - NFC Championship - Minnesota 14, L.A. Rams 10, advanced to Super Bowl IX<> Dec. 26, 1976 - NFL Championship - Minnesota 24, L.A. Rams 13, advanced to Super Bowl XI
DTro
Not sure where the 0-5 came from. We can just make stuff up now huh? Now if you told me the Queens would first host the Cheese here and whoop them a new one, then go into their own house and whoop em again, then to add insult, doing so via their former QB who didn’t want to play for them anymore and to go on and win the division and miss going the SB by losing in overtime in the Championship game? I take the scenario 10 out of 10 times. Now flip that around and losing to the Cheese both there and here against our former QB who didn’t want to play here anymore, add in not winning the division and a 1 and out in the playoffs? No thank you. That’s embarrassing.
MNice
Badger, I'm sorry, but to post on a board to intentionally tick people off is really sad. Hope you get well.
Dylan33
Here is a good stat for you all....The Vikings have the 3rd most playoff appearances of any team in the NFL. With ZERO Superbowl wins. The teams with the top 2 playoff appearances are the Steelers and the Cowboys...and each have multiple Superbowl wins...Its rough being a Vikings Fan! SledNeck
You could make the arguement based on drama and coupled with ratings that Favres return to Lambeau was the biggest regular season game in the modern era of football...and the vikes took care of business. To me its as good as a superbowl win, maybe even better.
tadster
they meant 0-5 since 1977....
LMITOUT
they meant 0-5 since 1977.... Viking fans choose to ignore the facts when it's beneficial for them to do so. I read it yesterday and it made sense. Not sure why it was so hard to comprehend for Queen's fans. Well....nevermind. Maybe they really knew what Badger meant but were being difficult just to be difficult. I'm guessing it's the latter.
DTro
Why even throw in the 1977 stat in there? It's meaningless.Oh and BTW, for those not paying attention, both the title and orginal post have been edited.....funnyDid you realize that the Vikings are 3-0 against the mighty Packers? They just cannot find a way to beat them.
