BlueLundFishrman
The thing with Romo, is he is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys. Probably the most scrutinized single position in the entire NFL. There is a lot of media attention and scrutiny that comes with being the QB in Big D. fishersofmen
The national media makes me sick. I read an artical just boasting about Dallas and how their defense only gave up 90yds rushing a game. Completely failed to mention the Vikes gave up 87yds rushing per game! In fact we are the 6th ranked defense in the league yards wise, Dallas is 9th. Then goes on saying how dangerous the Cowboys offense is. Dallas scored 360 points this year, the Vikings scored 470!! The fact is when you look at the numbers the Cowboys don't have a chance. Does Jerry Jones own ESPN??
zepman
Wasn't more than a month ago and the same national media was rubbing their chubby fingers together trying to figure out how to dismantle the whole Cowboy team/staff after they miss the play-offs...Now, after beating an average Philly team twice at HOME, they are the favorites to take it all...go figure. I'm just glad the Browns aren't in the play-offs...could you imagine all the love this team would be getting right now after winning four straight down the stretch! greebs
I think what zepman points out is probably a big reason why the media is jumping on the cowboys bandwagon. I guess if you base your opinion on the last 1/4 of the season it makes sense that they are favoring the cowboys. I still think though that the game being in the dome offsets many of the cowboy advantages and that the vikings will prevail in a close one. now if only there was a way to get the superbowl in the dome so they don't have to lose once they get to miami. zepman
fishersofmen had a post saying that the Cowboys hold very few advantages over the Vikes...at least statistically speaking. To me, the Cowboys have the advantage of the Vikings playing with a rookie middle linebacker, and an injured Winfield.I think McKinney and Loadholdt will come to play and Jimmy K. will help out on the edge enough to neutralize their pass rush enough for Favre to be effective at moving the ball. McKinney needs to have a huge game...he's not in the pro-bowl for nothing and he was very good earlier in the year. This could be his break-out game. buckx37x
i agree zepman mckinney needs a big game, he has not looked to great as of late.
fishersofmen
True, this game is going to come down to our offensive line against the Cowboys D-line. If our line gives Favre the protection he needs and can at least do some decent blocking for AP we will win the game. Our defense plays 10 times better at home, I think they will hold their own.Turnovers being the other factor of course.

TR21HP
Thats why I've always agreed with Belichek when he replied to a reporters stats as stats are for the media and fantasy football geeks. Football is about matchups and a players desire - nothing else.
