I had mine go out on my Solo while prefishing during the NAIFC tournament this last weekend. Brought it to Strikemaster yesterday and that's how they fixed it. There was even a guy there putting new Solos in boxes to sell and was doing the same as the above video before putting them into a box.

Kudos for Strikemaster stepping up and addressing the problem right away and not brushing it under the rug and hoping that it goes away. Quality Customer Service, thats what I like about SM.

Great new ice auger...with a minor hit and miss bug...no big deal.

I'm a long time Jiffy guy, but my next new ice auger will be a StikeMaster.

Big Slugger, which one did you end up with anyway? Going to pick my new one up in 12 hours It was tough to see the old one get sold this afternoon. But, for $275 and a good 9 years of use I'm ok with it.

Well I had this issue on Saturday. I sure wish I would have watched this before going to a little lake 70 miles from home. It was a good thing another guy out there let me borrow his to cut holes.

I just bought mine this weekend and have only ran it in the garage. I think I might do this as a sort of "pre-emptive" measure, just in case...
