This unit had been sold under several names in the past and was popular with some serious fisherman, especially with ice fisherman. We surrounded it with important accessories such as small high quality rechargeable battery and charger, a battery status Indicator, and a unique carrying case. These parts made it easy to use the FL-8 for ice fishing. More and more people were now showing up on the lakes with a Vexilar." Looks like it was reintroduced... icedog
LX-5, LX-3TC, PolarVision. Started out with a Hondex FL-8 in 1986 (I think) and have owned 10 Vexilars over the years up through the FL-18.

cementhead21
Sitex was the first to introduce the 3 color flasher knowen as the FL8,Then it became a Micronar, then on to Hondex, and lastly Vexilar. the basic Fl8 for the most part is unchanged since Sitex put it out.
