JimJim
Well I wanted a horizontal tacklebox that would be sturdy without all the extra baggage that most of the boxes have. I couldn't find what I was looking for so I made my own. It holds 6 14x9 plano boxes that slide into routered grooves in the side boards. Let me know what you think. JimJim
Wow. I'm an [PoorWordUsage]. It holds 5 9x14 boxes. I have a 6th box with just panfish stuff that I can swap out with a different box when I'm going panfishing. But with this type of box I could make one to hold 10 boxes if I wanted. EBass
How much does it weigh minus the tackle boxes? It looks solid though

JimJim
It really doesn't weigh much at all empty. It is made of pine and I stained and polyed it to help protect from the weather. It's in the boat right now and it's tarped up. I can weigh it empty next time I uncover the boat.I can take some measurements but it all depends on the boxes you are going to be using. castindad
JIM JIM IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET ANY MEASUREMENTS ON HOME MADE TACKLE BOX THANKS CASTINDAD
JimJim
Sorry it took so long. Here are the measurements. It is 11 1/2 inches tall,10 3/8th inches deep, and 15 3/8th inches wide. I used a 5/8th inch router bit for the grooves. Remember the measurements depend on the type of boxes you buy. I am actually making four of these this weekend for a few buddies as Christmas presents. It's cheap and fun and they showed interest in them
