Cooter
I think they peed on themselves yesterday down in Florida, uniforms looked a bit more yellow than usual. Glad I was out in the woods rather than watching that disgrace.

Big Dave2
How 'bout those old school Tampa uniforms?!? Between those old uniforms and all the sacks I saw in that game, I thought Trent Dillfer had been traded to the Packers.
Jim Uran
Or David Carr... I thought the old uni's were ugly but cool.

Arf, arf! But no, smack talk aside I really do hope you shake that monkey off your back. Be nice to talk as equals, finally. Speaking of submissive dogs, what happened to the green and gold puppies against what arguably used to be the worst team in the NFL until they played the pack today? We peed on ourselves baaaaaaddddddd! Our offensive line has been taking lessons from the Vikings franchise, apparently. Rolled right over on their backs again. Sorry I couldn't be here to reply to you immediately, Rick, much as I know how much you want to rub in one cruddy Pack game as though it's a whole franchise history of losing Super Bowls. One execrable pack loss = a puddle of pee. The Vikes and their history = an ocean of pee. I can take one step upwind to get out of the pee puddle. You guys got a lot of paddling to get away from that smelly ocean, and we all know how big the waves can get the last half of the season and during the playoffs. Mind you don't capsize! Anyway, I've been out trying to fill the doe tag to go with the buck. Meat for the freezer and all that, you know? The important, stuff, you know? Too busy to get back to the toy store until now. You all know me. When my team plays like 7th graders, I'm the first to say so. No excuses. That's just the way it is, see. What makes me laugh, and I mean a big rip-snorting belly buster of a guffaw, is when some fans from other teams take one Pack loss and try to make it a horrible season, or one bad season (which this one might become but isn't quite yet) and turn it into a horrible franchise. Uh, no, I think we all are quite certain who the longtime losers have been here. So, it's your Super Bowl to win. Go win it if you can, and let the naysayers nay no more. I'll be the first to congratulate you. And this being the toy store, where we come to bluster and badger and throw out chest thumps, I'll also be the first to point out that a single Super Bowl victory would be just a good start. OK, back to getting ready for tomorrow's hunt. Five a.m. comes along pretty quick at my age.
croixflats
ToChe! I thought the same thing so I thought better than opening my mouth with the Vikes track record and we still have the rest of the season to live up to the Vike reputation. Uh, no, I think we all are quite certain who the longtime losers have been here. Actually the pack is in the process of going on their second bad season. If you want to get into history comparing apples to apples...I fondly remember a lot of NFL Central Division Championships with the Vikes. Many more than the pack have won. Especially considering their losing ways from 1973 to 1995 when the Vikes dominated them. Vikes Central/North Division Championships 1968 (NFL Central) 1969 (NFL Central) 1970 (NFC Central) 1971 (NFC Central) 1973 (NFC Central) 1974 (NFC Central) 1975 (NFC Central) 1976 (NFC Central) 1977 (NFC Central) 1978 (NFC Central) 1980 (NFC Central) 1989 (NFC Central) 1992 (NFC Central) 1994 (NFC Central) 1998 (NFC Central) 2000 (NFC Central) 2008 (NFC North) Packs Central/North Division Championships: 1972 (NFC Central) 1995 (NFC Central) 1996 (NFC Central) Superbowl Win 1997 (NFC Central) 2002 (NFC North) 2003 (NFC North) 2004 (NFC North) 2007 (NFC North) The pack had one title in the 70s and NONE in the 80s. The early part of the 90s the drought continued. The Vikes have had plenty of winning seasons since our division was created. Once they get their modern era Super Bowl the pack will need to take a back-seat to the bears and Vikes in the NFC North.

Steve Foss
Once they get their modern era Super Bowl the pack will need to take a back-seat to the bears and Vikes in the NFC North. As always, a "modern era" is up to the person offering the definition. I was alive when the Packers won their three Super Bowls. Thus they're "modern era" enough for me. I always get a kick out of some of those fans of other teams who were alive and kicking for all three of the Packers SB wins but don't consider them "modern." I mean, c'mon you guys who are in your 40s and older . . . when did the "modern era" start for you? The goofy logic is denial at its best. As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to football the modern era began with the first Super Bowl. I'd think the same thing even if my team had none and my rivals had three. I love this board. It's better sport than the football games themselves.

What the purple fans fail to admit is they're tied with Buffalo for the worst SB record at 0-4!!! I've never seen NFL shows talking about who has won the most division titles....they don't matter period! I have seen shows about "The Missing Rings" LOL very very sad... Get to the SB and win it....or lose and be 0-5......now that would be a record Favre could be part of!
Steve Foss
Badger, you saved the thread from crickets chirping until some testosterone-charged purple-faced fool found a way to disregard logic in order to fire back a "OH YEAH? WELL SCHREW YOU!" As for me, I will continue to hope for the best for my team. That goes for next week, and the week after that, and the week after that. I care about how they do every single game. Do you see me in here ripping on the Packers organization? Not so much. Are there things I think they could be doing to shore up my team that they are not doing? Yup. But I'm just down here in the peanut gallery. I'm not the folks making the decisions in the sacred offices of the Green and Gold. They make the choices they make, and come a Sunday I'm rooting for the same team I've been rooting for since shortly after my birth in 1961. I'm not a hater, and not a ripper. I leave that for fans of teams that are 0-4 on Super Bowl appearances and who hate to admit even to their wives that they think this season will fall short of the SB or yield the coveted 0-5 record. I know my thoughts ain't modern for a lot of punks these days, but punks either die or grow into maturity, and who ever listened to a punk? Eh? we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 11, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 11, 2009 Modern era defined as when we had the Central and then North Divisions to play in. Then it's an apples and apples comparison. The Pack really has nothing to brag about last year or this year. Of course whenever the Pack is a bunch of losers you can always count on a Packer fan to say: "OH YEAH - at least our Packers are HAS BEENS"
DTro
The other day, I looked up some stats from the last 15yrs. I decided to keep them to myself The stats were actually pretty close until you compared division titles and conference championships. Football is a funny game, and I am pretty confident in saying that those stats could all be but switched had Favre played here in MN the past 15yrs. He is just that good. Which makes it all the more sweeter that he will end his career here winning a SB for us Players come and go all over the league. But there are a few things that will NEVER change. (1)MN has lost 4 SB’s (2)You will always find a Packer fan at the game in GB dressed in his hunting best, trying to keep his cheesehead on, while downing the paintthinner, and not realizing he P’d all over himself an hour ago. we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted November 11, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted November 11, 2009 Steve,it's a lot of fun trading barbs with ya. The Pack will be back someday....hopefully for your sake.I really do like Packer fans. They are some of the best in the nation. They back their team through thick and thin and it was a long thin time in the 70s, 80s and into the 90s. I was rooting for the Pack to win the Superbowl in 96 once it was apparent we weren't going to win it.

As for sticking with the Pack through thick and thin, I can only be what I am, and that will always be a Packer (no matter which avatar I mount). But we'll keep trading barbs. Gotta keep the wits sharp. And if you guys don't win the S.B., just imagine the s---storm that's gonna rain down all over you from us Green and Gold fellas. He!!, with Favre leading them, it'll almost feel a bit like old times. With the O line these days, I can hardly keep from turning my head, closing my eyes and muttering a quick Hail Mary every time Rodgers drops back to pass. I want our team back!
