i was out today in the rain and managed 1 14 incher but i didn't know about the word yet - my guess is that a 14 incher might be a contender this weekend.

My biggest bass came actually came in November so there could be some real whoppers entered if someone can find them. Some days they'll hit just about anything put in front of them, the key is finding them.

I had the same luck this morning. I was out 3 hours in the rain and snow and only managed 1 small bass. Hopefully I can put something together.

Ooofda, I got a 16" on my third cast on satuday.. Figured, I'll get a bigger one no problem.. uhhhhhh, not another bite..

We managed two fish for the day, one about 17 and another about 15. Tough day for sure!

It was very tough, Saturday we did horrible... Sunday we caught about 30 fish but most were 14"ers with our biggest at 17 1/2". Then we switched to livebait for some walleyes and caught some bigger smallies ranging from 18"- 18 1/2"... The bite is really tough right now... Not to mention my tilt trim went out yesterday... ok though, warranty

I got skunked in in the 3 hours I fished Saturday. Went to a different lake Sunday. First fish was 17.5 figured I'd get a bigger one so no photo. I lost a bigger one boatside at the end of the day. I did catch 31 fish though. Mostly 14-16 inchers.

almost forgot.... I got my 1000th bass of the season this weekend.

nicely done - you must have had some 100 fish days or close to either that or you are on the water ALOT

Good going - did you keep track of average length or weight or what caught the most or log all of them

it would be fun to know the statics behind all 1000 but very good work

I made it out twice this weekend.

On saturday i fished from noon to 5 targeting smallies and did very well. Ended up with close to 50 in those 5 hours. Biggest smallie was right at 19 inches with two others just under 19. Got all of my bigger fish on a tube. All of the fish came from two different spots.

On sunday i made it out from 4-6:30 looking for largemouth and took a beating. Only managed one 16 incher. Had one other little tap and a breakoff in that time period. The lake i fished is known for giant fish and it has put a hurtin on me all fall.

Wow, congrats.. I have yet to make it to 1000 for a season.. I am at 830 some right now.

Very nice coloring on that smallie, tonka. I've really noticed something kind of interesting this fall while fishing for smallies. Certain spots on a given lake tend to produce more of a specific shade of color on the smallies than other areas.

Well Dietz I went out and didn't get skunked. I tried a steep rocky point next to a river inlet and caught 2 fish on a 1/2oz spinnerbait. They weren't very big but I didn't even know there was smallies in that lake. No largemouths were caught

Wow Tonka that's a lil ruler.

Made it out on Sunday. Had 4 bites and caught 3 bass. Biggest going 17". Lost the pig at the boat so I saw her, but she was a sow.

Pitching jigs to the weedline and dragging them back.

Didn't even see minnows in shallow - thus stuck to the outside weedline or what's left of it.

Actually the most i caught in one day was 40 and that was two weeks ago. I got 30+ three times and 20+ only a handfull of times. I would say an average day was 5-15 fish. Needless to say, I'm on the water a lot. I fished six days a week almost all season.

I didn't keep any other stats other than my usual. Any bass over 20 inches or 5lb goes on a list showing the bait/tackle, location, weather, etc. I don't have it all tallied up for the year yet because I'm not done fishing yet.

If I do this again next year I may keep more stats.

I caught a 17 incher this weekend. No picture my camera broke a couple of weeks ago. Jigs into pad stems. Also caught a 12 and a 15. 3 fish in about 6 hours of fishing.

It's not so much what I do for a living, it's my current situation in life. I'm completely single. No wife, girlfriend or kids.

I work a regular 9 to 5 job.

Managed this nice fat 19 1/4 incher Tuesday. Sure was nice to see the sun!!

I like how those river smallies are dark like that! Nice markings on that one.
