Biggest Twins fan on here,, but after the Game 2 heartbreak,, It was OVer. No one is winning 3 in a row agst that team. MY point is this,, the TWins mentally were DONE agst the Yanks. They can't beat them, reg season or postseason and the Yanks mystic got in the head of the Twins, like it has in the past.

The sad thing is the Yanks pitching in the late innings before Rivera is not that good. The TWins made mistakes like they usually don't do. Playoff baseball is not about the next level, it's about doing the things that got you their in the first place agst stiff competition. The JEter's etc,, don't raise their level,, they keep it up from the reg season. Check the stats-- The TWins didn't play TWins baseball agst the Yanks, they didn't move runners over, didn't hit in the clutch , and didn't close out games when they had the lead.

The Yanks will get beat by the Angels. Mark my words. The Yanks are not as good they looked. They captilaized on mistakes by the Twins,, the Angles will make few mistakes.

Most pointless thread of the year??? I don't think so, especially when everybody is attacking the messenger and not debating the message. Deep down you all know I am right and you all secretly yearn for an owner who is willing to pull the trigger on that deal that will put you over the top and it is killing you to know that yours won't so you have to revel in your small market mentality clutching at the few straws that your team brings you but never the whole basket of hay. I wonder how the next debate will go once Mr. Mauer and Mr. Morneau bolt for greener pastures.....only time will tell.

Wouldnt this thread make more sense if the poster's team finished ahead of the Twins?

Winning the Central was no prize. It was a study in mediocrity. In todays baseball you have to buy championships. Twins will never beat the Yankees until the philosophy of the players changes. Its all about the benjamins. CHemistry used to be a lot bigger deal than it is now. Players change teams every year, chemistry is what you have when you havent gone out and got the talent you lack. Twins, loads of chemistry. But just because you spend a bunch of money doesnt mean you are gonna win more, right Windy?

Doesnt matter, even when they got their title in 2005, it didnt change anything. No matter what they still and always will play 2nd fiddle to the Cubs who dont and cant win anything. What does that say?

They win a world series, they are still not the favorite team in chicago, or the favorite team any where else for that matter.

White sox cant fill their own stadium even when they do win.

I have attended a game or 2 at the Cell for the last couple of years. I dont know what it is about the cell, but getting hearded like cattle through 15ft tall barbed wire fences just to go from the parking lot to the stadium really makes for a great atmosphere. That and all the empty seats makes me wish I could go to more games there.

Rundrave, are you telling me you are opposed to parking in a secured lot with lights and security personel? If so, go see a Cubs game where you will have to park 4 miles from the stadium or be forced to pay some guy in a Gay Pride t shirt $45 to park in his alley. By the way, where do fans park at Twink games, in a cornfield? Call me crazy but when I park my $65,000 car and leave it for a few hours I want to be sure it is there and unharmed when I come back, but that is just me, a wild and crazy guy!!!
