This series is a Win Win Win for Windy!

but when you snicker at Chicago finishing fourth and getting eliminated first I can only snicker back while racking my brain to think of the last time a Worlds Fair or Olympics selection committee even thought of the state of Minnesota much less consider them!

I can't ever remember a time when WE WANTED either here. The locales ASK to hold the events in their place, then they are voted on, they aren't appointed. When was the last time Chicago held a Final 4, Superbowl, NHL All Star Game?? Those are appointed, and someone must love it here enough to let us host those events.

C'mon Harv, you know the only people who want the OLYs are the ones who r gonna capitalize on 'em....like the food service and hotels and cabbies and the lowlife thieves and........

Besides, OLYs are for amateurs not oldfarts like me'n'Windy.

Hey, and if I remember right, we did host the World Cup a few yrs back....not that that is too exciting though.

FUTBOL is not FOOTBALL.

Go Packers!

I thought something smelled a bit fishy on those non-sourced numbers so I went to the leading authority which tracks this stuff and updates monthly. They are the largest supplier of tracking numbers in the world and here is what I found.

Households with 250K and up

Minnesota 42,693

Illinois 98,453

Homes Valued at 250K and up

Minnesota 333,202

Illinois 735,300

Personal Wealth as defined by individuals with investments of 200K and up

Minnesota 747,889

Illinois 1,507,627

Kind of filters out all the "median" and "average" bull. Those are the true numbers and I am proud to be one of those listed in the great state of Illinois!

source=US census bureau.. you might have heard of it..

Ill population= 12,901,563

MN population= 5,220,393

The avg Minnesotan is actually better off than the avg FIB, you cant argue with that

IF..

you dont want to play percentages then Illinois has more people below the poverty line than MN in addition to having more impoverished people per capita

see how that works?

Yes but I am not average so I don't play the percentage game, there are more wealthy and better off people in Illinois by a factor of two plus. I don't go where the "other half" lives so why do I care what they do. Night life, hands down goes to Illinois, more rich people here, end of story! Looking to make it big, come hang with the beautiful people here in Illinois.

So Minnesota has less people and thats a bad thing?

Last time I checked your on a HSOforum that is based out of Minnesota, you probably found it becaue you LOVE to come to MINNESOTA to go fishing.

Go talk to everyone in Chicago about how great your city is, we don't care.

Windy, if you are so rich, then why don't you go fish in Canada? The fishing in Canada does not even compare to fishing in MN. Or do you have a felony on your record and that's why you can't get across the border?

I would much rather have an average income and live in MN than being filthy rich and living in that dump any day. Life is not measured by how much money you make in your lifetime.

Night life? My night life consists of fishing for big fish, but only because I choose to do so. Nothing better than that IMO. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if 90% of STD's or better are spread from people from the Chicago area. It's that dirty!

OUCH. Ill have to agree. I havent come across this level of shallowness or arrogance on this forum till now. I know why he fishes with guides now, he has to pay people to tolerate him in addition to help him catch fish. I guess its all about the money. Apparently none of us can enjoy God's country cause we arent Windy Trump and we cant go out and binge eat at the finest restaurants in the Chicagoland area.

NO kidding. Ive been to almost every major city in America and the nightlife is pretty much the same anywhere you go. A bar/club in the city is a bar/club in the city! On that note, the nightlife in cities in Florida is far and away better than Chicago or anywhere for that matter. I also would rank Dallas and Phoenix right there also, especially for the quality of women and safety compared to Chicago.

Oh and Chris Farley is a bit too thin to be the typical Chicago fan!

Some more interesting stats just in from the City Data file.

Median Household Income level

Iron Range $47,958

Orland Hills $70,835

Median Home Value

Iron Range $71,517

Orland Hills $286,731

I will stop if you guys do and get back to baseball. Should be an easy choice since you should be in a one game playoff in about and hour....but you were in that situation last year too and we all know how that turned out, right?

You're something else Windy. Shall we pick a city within the Twin Cities and compare it to youre ghetto? You seem to like to pick out specifics and keep going.

Lets do Edina, MN and you're ghetto. That will be my example for you. No sense of even looking up the numbers as it is no even close.

Very easy to pick and choose.

I see the Twins will need to do this by themselves as Chicago could not get the sweep done.

This should put to rest any argument Tom

Arlington, Illinois: The median income for a household in the village was $27,292, and the median income for a family was $38,12

Arlington, Minnesota: The median income for a household in the city was $37,632, and the median income for a family was $49,231

It is quite clear that MN outclasses Illinois in every way shape and form. [/end sarcasm]

laugh
