HunterLee
Well, this was my first year bear hunting. At first it was more of something to do, but I soon got into it after I got a hit. I baited two spots this year. The first spot was my original plan, and second spot is where I got my bear. Had one encounter with my first bait, had 2-3 bears coming in. Both spots were No-quota. Had a very nice boar- which was a little bigger than the one I shot. Had it at 10yds, but never fully committed to the bait, and with only a bow I had no shot at him. Second bait was set up on bow opener after a friend of mine had a bear pull part of his wall off his ply wood deer blind. He hit two nights after setting the bait, then hit once more on monday night at 7pm. Then decieded to hunt Tuesday and shot him right at 6pm. Dressed out at 265lbs. Getting a shoulder mount done. Shot with my 243. Also got it on video. The first spot is still getting hit, but not during daylight or everyday. But still may try a hunt or two. Here he is moments before I shot him on the trail cam.
